Yes but these could bee recognized by other clever prospectors too - and I guess thats not how you want it to work ;)

Why restrict the number at all, after all it is a map? Also the clicking the ground spot and having it put it on the map I agree would be helpfull if not to hard to accomplish code wise.

Would like to see unlimited landmarks, that way I don't have to worry about where I am putting them and for what.

Different colors would be a very nice addition seeing that right now I don't know if it marks a KOS mob area or a harvesting point.

Really need some way to more precisely place a marker, as has been stated before, it is just about impossible to place one in the exact spot the source is in. Maybe even the ability to add a compass/location number to it. I know this gets into the whole how do I know exactly where (numbers wise) I am on the world. But, it is really good to be able to know this anyway, don't understand why there is no location stuff in this game. (sorry haven't gotten around to looking this up yet to see if there is an explaination on the boards.)

The ablitily for me to place a "marker" of some sort on the world itself that only I can see, is a good idea, but would not be nessesary if we had a location system.

Just my 2 dapper, thanks for the opportunity to comment and vote on this issue. :)

50 isn't nearly enough. Even without getting into marking harvesting nodes it's possible to have hundreds of markers. Mob spawns, npc's, points of interest, bridges, unusual formations, etc.

The horizons map marking system was very good when it came to offering distinguishing types of markers for players to use.

The AO map system that allowed you to switch actual maps being used was also a very good thing since it allowed players to have different maps for different uses, as well as for players to make different useful maps.... just please release a usefully detailed blank terrain map along with whatever else for us to start with.

There is sure needed much more landmarks but also there nedd to be

a.) possiblility to SET and see where you put a landmark in game view not only on map.

Basicly like one Flag set in ground? you click somwere and you place a Flag.. then if ever you activate this flag in compass it will be visible in game for you AND FOR YOUR GROUP...

Different color of Flags or different icons Like BOSS MOB Zone, Banditsv Camp, Resource site, etc etc...

With some little work i think that actuall map can really become very very important and helpfull tool for players !

No flags that are invisible for everyone except the placer/group.

Next you ask for foraging mules as once we can mark spots in this way theres really nothing more to do there than click-click-click.....

I am a fyros harvester (72 desert/70 prime roots)

as soon as you go down to the roots you need more than the double amount of waypoints you can acually set.

you need at least 30 waypoints for armor crafting and weaponcrafting raw´s only for the supreme materials. especially for the armor crafting raws you need supreme armor shell, stuffing, lining, armor clip in black and white, you need the double amount of waypoints when you want to mix the materials to cap you equipment stats, you need a f****** load of waypoints.

you may want to build some equipment with excellent materials so you need more and more and more waypoints for the excellent stuff.

but there is more than armor crafting. you need also waypoints (as you are harvester) for the juwels, weapons and staffs.

an amount of max 50 waypoints would be enough i think but the amount of waypoints we now have is really far away from beeing acceptable.

Also:
* Be able to see the flag in scene as well as the map
* Be able to attach notes to each landmark
* Be able to share landmarks

Landmarks at the moment only give a vague idea of where to resume harvesting, attaching notes would at least allow me to add "mats in centre of kidney shaped flower patch, nighttime only"

The more the better. Consider the following:

There are 4 regions with 7 differnt materials only in Tryker main region. This now continues for every region and i am only considering choice materials, not even talking about excellent and better spots.

Furthermore you may want to check back when your tracking reports that there are currently no materials here, so you need to mark it.

28 in main, 4 surrounding areas, many other spots you may want to check. Makes no sense to talk about 10 flags :-)
