Immunity 8) One common way MUDs would stop things like going safe immediately after killing someone (or after being attacked hehe) was to put a timer on you so you couldn't become 'safe' till after say a full minute without any PvP contact. This prevented people from killing and then just going safe -- it also prevented people from simply going safe whenever they get attacked.

i am or everything except the PR free-for-all. the immunity thing would be my choice. i would have no problem with being able to opt-out everytime i entered a region. of course, this would make the free for all not so free for all. more of an opt-in free for all.

i like the idea about outposts and guild wars and team skirmishes. it all sounds like alot of fun!

i think a king of the hill player event would be alot of fun. alot like how that player claimed that island as his own. that would be alot of fun. i would probably go there once just out of curiosity.

i also thought some kind of renegade/vigilante/bounty system would be fun too. something like you can issue a petition to have a bount placed on a players head. you would need a proper reason and plenty of players to coroborate as well as paying for the bounty upfront. say you place a reward for the first ten players to kill a certain character. you would fork over the cash for all ten kills outright.

some of these bounties could even be triggered by quest events. like if you take a quest that involves taking out a high level npc of another nation or faction. the moment you complete the quest a bounty is placed on your head by that nation/faction. the bounty would probably be limited to the nations region so you could lay low in your home country or something till the bounty timer is up.

i think it would be loads of fun to be hunted. but it has to be a choice with a reason why they are after you behind it.

i also like the idea of guild war declarations that allows opposing members to fight anywhere except inside the towns. once again with proper reason as well as informing both guilds of its happening and the ability to surrender the war at any time at any time.

there is obviously alot more detail to it but thats the main idea and stuff to talk about!

My perfect PvP, is to have 100% PvP areas. Also, to be able to loot the corpses, equipment, weapons, money carried. No XP from PvP.

This wouldn't amount to much honestly, those people wishing to rpk will do so with or without a guild, possibly forming a pk guild. Happened in SB all the time. And 'nice' players would make alts for the sheer purpose of rpk'ing. And in SoR, the time it takes for 2 friends (one healer, one melee) to get from 1-150+ in 1 branch is under 1 week, which is more than whats needed to pk pretty much any solo harvester.

I would like to keep the arenas, plus have events where guilds could host a guild vs guild thingie (battle war, what have ya), and a switch of PVP on and off (I would KEEP it off, I don't get into pvp, haven't seen it work right yet, but would like to sit at an arena and watch from time to time, MAYBE it would work right...who knows, anything is possible).

Barring a PVP OFF switch, how about a server for all those that just can't LIVE without pvp?

Zones would ONLY work if PVP were not given a distinct advantage, if they ARE given an advantage...then those that perfer NOT to mosh it up will get upset and things could get ugly (boycots of crafters and foragers refusing to sell anything to NPC's and refusing to sell to KNOWN PVPers or newbies to avoid PVPers using an alt, and things of the like).

This is really a hard thing. I realize some people want it and I am not completely against it. But I want a choice.

For the ones that want to kill and loot surely there is another game that does only that isn't there. Don't make this one one of them.

I like the immunity idea if you can keep the ones that want to ruin everyones fun by useing it for their own purposes.

I still like just certain areas that are it. Not Prime Root tho where you have to go through to get to another land.

I just want to be able to chose.

Not gonna happen champ.
Well actually it might....since there is no uber leet rare quipment.
But definitley not loot all money carried, or all equip.


Remember, Ryzom is not a really PvP oriented game.

Then what is it? Why have the guilds and the races, Karavan, Kamis basically at one another's throat... also the FAME issue... why have it? Just for NPCs? Well yea, in the beginning... but they were planning big things with PvP, GvG, Race v Race, Factions vs Factions or else they would have had the fame, storyline, etc... like it is now...

Maybe because we have Kami vs Karavan battle ground, Arenas, GvG and outpost ? Nevrax always said it was going to be that way, if you want a open PvP game, maybe Ryzom is not for you. You should try Lineage 2 or Shadowbane.

And i though my post was just another useless post about PvP...
