this plan doesnt stop you from doing that. unfortunately it falls under "giving stuff to the enemy" to paraphrase dt. i know the kami generally dont care about giving cats to kara from reading kami forums.

for that matter why not do what the true purpose of war is, eradicate the enemy. get all kami to un-sub or become kara!

Eradicating the enemy at any cost is, in my most humble opinion, what brings hatred to this game. Yeah, it's a GAME, where the purpose is to have FUN with people. Op fights are supposed to be there for entertainment. The mats are a bonus for the winner, a useful trophy, that's all. Can we please keep the factional "enemy" stuff out of this ?

People need to take a step back in reality, a bit. I know it's a very immersive game, but remember there are humans behind the homins. Such agressivity is not needed.
get all kami to un-sub or become kara!

I hope this was a joke, mate... I so hope it was.

You really want the game to die ? Remember that each homin has freedom of will and opinions. The day I'll be forced to go into a faction not to be harassed and ganked, it will be clear that the game will have lost the mature community which has made its reputation as best game ever. Just because of that, the enjoyment of the game will be lost and it won't be worth to pay for anymore. People will unsub and the game will lose even more money. And Karas will be fighting against Karas for OPs ? Ridiculous.

Where is the friendly and helpful community that gave me the desire to sub and come on the Mainland ? This has so NOTHING to do with political faction BS, it's a question of friendlyness and generosity. If you don't agree with the project, don't donate, but stay respectful to those who give their time to run it.

Xtarsia, if this project goes on, count me in as Neutral. After reading such things, I'm not sure I'll faction even for TPs... not right now at least.

You´ve got to be kidding.

Y´know what never ceases to amaze me?
That people who were here just a little shorter then me, are thinking that THEY and THEY alone know what this Game was designed to be.

I assure you, and I have it from a VERY good source, namely an high ranking Employee of the Company know formerly as Nevrax that I had the pleasure of meeting once, that THIS Game was NOT designed to be a FvF/PvP Game like WoW or others of their illicit ilk.

And I and many others are trying our best to be tolerant of what you think and what you mean is YOUR right to play a Game, that was designed with MORE that PvP in mind. In wich PvP as it is now actually was just meant as something more to do and added long after other things.

What you and others have made of it is you own choice, so don´t go around boasting falsehood and simple lies. Or trying to declare one playstyle better than others.
Everyone is entiteled to his/her own Gamestyle.

And anyone who is not mature enough to accept that and tolerate other Gamestyles than his own should please refrain from descending into such cheap meassures as to accuse others of playing "not by the rules", or sabotaging good natured intentions.

In short: If you don´t like what others do with their spare time, don´t involve yourself in it. You simply hav no right at all to even try to dictate a style of play on others.

Edit:
And tell me what on earth would "prevent you from participating in Factional Conflict", if others just helped others to things they otherwise would only get by joining "your group"? There might just be people who do NOT like PvP. As there are people who are of other races or gender in Real Life.
Creating a "Ghetto" for Roleplayers or those who like to simply help others isn´t the right choice.
It´s demeaning and an affrónt to all those who do not PvP or play "your style".

Strangely, here in Germany, (yes Germany!) there´s such a thing as an Community OP too.
And after an initial few grumbles, noone and I repeat noone is even thinking of attacking it!
Why?
Because everone is only gaining from it.
The guys who are running it created a unique system of penefit for everyone. Even both factions!
D´oh, huh?
Yeah, its possible to be nice and neutral AND not to be shot down by someone wearing a batch of whichever faction.

i was being sarcastic on that btw. seeing as im in a kami guild.

personally id be just fine if every player got an equal number of cats that helped them at their level and op battles were just for fun and the mats. there is nothing in the lore that says kara and kami are in an all out war against each other (or not that ive read) . they each say the other is wrong.

how many kara / kami have armor, weapons, jewels, and other equipment crafted by "non-combatants"? or by people in the other faction? if we can sure all that, why cant we share cats? there is no game mechanic that prevents kara from trading with kami for cats or vice versa.

personally i think if pero / dt / etc think that non-combatants dont deserve cats they should go to their guild halls, their apartments and their packers and destroy anything that was given to them by non-combatants.

if they dont deserve your generosity then you dont deserve theirs.

Wow this is probably the best post to all the conflict in game i've ever seen. It's something that i wish i could have worded together to say in all my jump into the flames posts i've made in the past out of pure anger of whats going on with the greed and drug(cats) abuse we've been subjected to.
If you don't mind whenever i feel he need to post something in a flamie thread about somebody i would like to just requote this so i can remain calm and think back to the great times and dreams we had before being thrust into war.

Acridiel,

My concerns are targeted directly towards the non combatant, those who are opposed to PvP. I am hopeful that a way to get OP goodies to those who do not participate in OP fights can be found that has little to no factional politics. I have said repeatedly that I want to support a program that targets the nonpvp crowd. Yet you and many of those who say they support a "community" program for noncombatants seem to be adamantly opposed to having that conversation.

What I am hoping for is finding common ground. The smart and easy thing would have been to remain silent but I actually thought that the server was ready for an inclusive project. I think the common ground is the non pvp player. That a program designed for this group would get maximum participation. That does not seem to be the goal here. The goal here seems to be to throw as much poo at those who do not think the last community project was flawless.

Pero
