Already happens believe it or not.

& lol Jack, don't worry, I think the majority of people would be happy with alterations that *whispers quietly* might actually show the games direction of movement is... foward.

or maybe using outpost as they were supposed to be in their Original Context?

(d'oh i can't find the link - i can't remember where it was - but outposts were not meant to be what they are now)

Get rid of Cats as an OP reward (or from the game totally even).

Keep OP's, but as GvG, with a guild membership timer, to stop umm.... marriages of convenience, just for OP battles.

Maybe a limit on how many OP's a guild can own.

BTW I voted Disable OP's, but this is in response to what they are doing to the game currently, I think there should be a guild based goal, same as Castle Sieges in Lineage, Archlord, Last Chaos etc.

We need an option for "Keep outposts, take cats off the drill menu".

I'd vote for that one in a flat second... would much rather see cats either gone or the possibility introduced for players to access them in other ways (like the casino wheel, as rewards in events, etc). Frankly, I don't play the outpost game so I can have any influence at all on how fast another player develops his or her characters, and I really think we'd all be much better off if that were left in the hands of each player, rather than being the primary function of outpost holders.

OP mats have far less impact on player interaction and on our freedom to develop our characters as we see fit. They are often traded for other, equally valued items that any player can obtain without engaging in either outpost pvp or outpost politics.

its a good idea, im not sure the devs would be willing to put forth the effort though.

"In Ryzom, any advantage is reinforced over time. An advantage in 250 cats means one side can bring it's recruits to full strength in a much shorter amount of time. If we as little street kids could figure out a way to make their games more balanced, challenging and fun....I would think that a game company or even the players themsleves could come up with an idea or two."

The casino spits the things out now, it is one of the prizes. The "ghost kitin" and "Terminator kitin" in our last event dropped cats as loot. There are npc's that drop cats now, as loot (they are hard to kill though!). There are mat only and cat, mat, flower drills now, disable the one that drops cats should take maybe a day to do, test, and add to our next patch... They would not need to actually develop anything new, just 'tweek' some things they already have developed a little.
