I don't think the, correctly identified, problems can be solved by tinkering in this area.

the problem isn't in the self-heals, but rather in the offensive area. They've already nerfed the heals once. Why not try adjusting the power of nukes? Sure, they added the who 20% thing, but they also made healing very easy by giving bomb a huge boost.

so now you can have a team with 3-4 people bomb healing and the rest bomb nuking and none of them are even close to running out of stats. Would reducing the time of SHs help here? not really.

Man, it's already bad enough that I have to add a time thingy to my heals and nukes for them to be max, but then to nurf it all a bit more.

Do you guys have trouble finding anything good about Ryzom?

There is nothing wrong with things they way they are!

The current self heal system is fine, maybe not perfect but on a list of things to fix that wouldnt even be on it! If we are going for not really needed suggestions revamp 1h staff melee for me :p

that would ruin the whole "whats the dumbest thing I can lvl" thing

its gotta be good at something, maybe when i hit 250 it will be amazing, maybe lol

aye @ lvl250 staff you get "shoot flames from ass" skill, AoE doing 5k dmg over 50m :D

and there is a reason no-one else levelled it :P

lol maybe but its not like i need another damage dealing melee, unlike some people :eek:

If you shortened timers with quite alot. Put it down to 1 minute maximum.
Shortened heal power alot.
It would be a lot harder task and require more concentration at OP fights.
Would stop alot of the heal bots from being so effective, because the fighter actually have to CONCENTRATE on when to use his heal.

The healer has to concentrate on WHO JUST USED THEIR OWN HEAL.
So the healer is more of a life supplier while the cooldown is going.

Have you ever healed at an op battle? Where you gotta keep a team of nine up + yourself + lookout for melees running around + checking if you shouldnt use your melee/range/magic aura + Following the orders + checking other peeps around you if they still got sap/stam/hp + rezzing peeps + using and reloading those damn enchants + ...

Healing at ops is very hard, especially if you are outnumbered. At op battles like the one in FF last week, almost all i noticed at the fight were my team bars + bars in around occasionaly. If i gotta look for who used his self heal, and gotta time it for 8 peeps... thats impossible m8.
If you nerf the heal powers, you'll have to spam even more to keep someone up, cause even a SH every minute cant help a melee/nuker in the front line...

Just my thought about it.
