Umm, they were in Tryker lands and the sources they're talking about are almost certainly in Lagoon of Loria.

Your obviously not a Tryker harvester. cuz of the lack of materials Tryker are becoming the NEWBS of Ryzom for behind so left behind.

I dont think its fair and secondly fairness prime over anything other problem. I like to play alot and now i found out all the other races have a HUGEEEE advantage over me and getting BIG head starts..

oh joy joy.. dont think so.. not excusable.
Should of been the first thing to be fixed, even before lag.

It begs the question why still play Tryker if you feel so strongly about it?

Trykers , your future is in your hands..

A group of 30-40 trykers made their way to the Matis capital this week on the french server & succeeded ;)

We have also welcomed members of the Tryker Black Company to Zora (they fought their way through) and have also succeeded in moving at least one of our officers through Bounty Beaches (Graah, you deserve the Master Sneaker SKill for that one) to the lakes of Aeden Aqueous.

Come on now, I'm a Tryker harvester/crafter/melee, and I have no problems.

The one thing that gets annoying is the invisible wall problem, but that's ALL. I have no problems with materials.

But maybe that's because I left newbie island at 30 in melee and 20 in harvest. How long did you wait? I mean, the way things are going now, by the time I CAN craft from and harvest lvl 200+ mats, I'll be able to fight off the critters there. If you have issues, have you thought about just running around and killing creatures until you're strong?

And I hear that the prime roots aren't exactly a picnic. It's not like they're a wealth of material sources to exploit and you don't have to worry about kitin and others that could kill you easily...

Actually our group made it to the Tryker area with only three deaths, granted they were all on the Heretic's Hovel area of Matia, so that doesn't count.

You can see us in a screen shot of our guild in Fair Haven at the Minyatur Guild's website

I left the tryker island at 35 melee, 21 magic, 20 harvest and 20 crafting... I had minor problems leveling up to 50 crafting and 60 harvest. The problem really isn't the lower levels. The problem is now my melee is at 79 and I'm still wearing ql 50 armor and wielding ql 50 weapons. Run around fighting til I'm Strong? Even with a healer I was dying over and over last night trying to level. The armor I have just isn't good enough to tank in anymore. Buy armor from the other races? With what? All my money is going to buying mats from the NPCs to grind crafting.

I want to get my crafting up higher so it matches my melee. I attempted to harvest in lagoons of loria and got killed 20+ times by the lvl 150+ mobs there. If I were in matis, I would be able to bring a mekloub out to one of the outposts and harvest ql 80+ mats to grind there. Pushing to Matis is not the answer either, because you cannot use any matis mats above basic quality to craft tryker items.

All we want to do is be able to harvest ql 60-100 mats with the same risk as the other races. Right now the task requires either a group of lvl 100+ people or sneaking into the lagoon area and dying over and over to get the mats. Then what? work off the 300k death penalty before you can work on the crafting/harvesting xp?

One smart alec Matis ran into lagoons to harvest to prove theres no problem with harvesting in there. He claimed he was only level 50 melee, yet he was lvl 100 harvest. He claimed he was able to come down from matis easily into Tryker. However he came in a group of people.

How many of you other races would love having to lug a group of people with you every time you go harvesting? Thats what we Trykers have to resort to, in order to even level our harvest to lvl 100 like that matis guy.

Cerest already said he was going to fix our problems, so I'm not really complaining anymore. I just posted this to explain what our complaint WAS. In any game there should be a risk to reward factor. We trykers felt that the risk to reward was unbalanced for us compared to the other races. I don't expect lvl 100+ mats to be easier than othe races. But level 60-100 should be as easy to get as the other races. Either increase their difficulty for them or decrease it for us. Its very annoying to see a group of other race people come into your land to sell you level 60+ equipment.

Actually,

Tain was harvesting pretty much alone in the lagoons today as our clan was back in Matia busy with other tasks. And yes, he is a level 50ish melee. It's called sneaking by mobs. Not even a level 100 melee should be going up against agro mobs that are 50-80 levels higher than him and tend to roam in packs. We had several members in Aeden Aqueous at different times during the day trading with their Tryker customers because it is a nice break from the forests of the Matis. Were they accompanied by a large group today? Most certainly not. In fact, several unscrupulous Trykers tried to train mobs to them and succeeded several times. Did we stoop to respond to such tactics? No, we laughed it off. If that is the way you choose to behave in game that is fine. We choose otherwise.

And for the record it is not "easy" to get to Q100 resource nodes if you are incapable of avoiding all the agro mobs in Fleeting Gardens. These mobs are of the same comparable level and viciousness as the Lagoons mobs. Come now, our Tryker members have no problems with locating mats in Aeden. All it takes is a little perseverence and desire. Granted the Q100 and Q150 nodes may be nerfed and should be fixed by the Nevrax team. I'm sure they are working hard on that. But the Q200 nodes are still there, in abundant supply and readily reachable by the adventurous Tryker.

The bottom line is NO RISK = NO REWARD
