It might indeed be called a "third way".
Still you have chosen a strange way to follow this "third way" though
You use the tools available.
We've drifted from the IC stuff so I'll just lay it out fairly straight.
Tryton was responsible for the rainbow bridges that rescued a load of homin during the great swarming. He is distrusted and preached against by both Kami and Karavan though in a persistent Tryker heresy he is considered Jena's husband or mate or some such.
While there's been a lot of promise in the lore about him, The Guild of Try (his followers) and their connection with The Rangers (another neutral NPC guild concentrated on fighting the Kitin) his actions haven't always been up to par in the game itself. In Episode 2 for example those who wanted to take a third way were encouraged by him to fight for whichever side was weakest but no easy facility was made for those who wished to change sides quickly to fulfil that.
More recently (some time ago now) Tryton and members of the Guild of Try entered the deep roots to seek out.... something, we don't know what.
Meanwhile those who do seek a third way are left with what little unsatisfying direction there was, which was to try and balance the sides and keep them in stalemate, to work against the kitin and the goo and to hold the fort.

There is some information about him on the chroncles part of this site.
Here, for instance.
If you want to find out more about him have a look around the chronicles. It's a good source of information

mylord crypto96,
I am grateful for your offer but I must refuse.
The reason is "I somehow dislike swords"
And I won't fit your profile anyways...
edit: Especially #7

Greetings Spoloh. It is difficult to tell if you still seek a Guild. If you Are. Perhaps you may want to wander to your nearest bar and view
this. We are still a small Guild. (but we are on fairly frequently and are spread across several TZ's, mostly UK and US, with one in Asia atm)
Reguards,

Yes, he was recently seen headed down into the deeper roots in search of Dragon technology. We last heard him screaming as strangely intelligent kitin overcame his expedition.
When drills came out, he called for guilds to take the outposts and not install any drill, but rather abstain from crystals. Needless to say, his policy has not proven to be popular and has never been followed, to my knowledge. One might say that he has made two pr blunders.

As we now know, the Kami and Karavan are encouraging you to take and hold the outposts for your guilds.
I would like you to know that I support this unreservedly. The marauders are lawless and wish to destroy everyone and everything that crosses their path with no respect for person or race.
It appears that the marauders have discovered a way to harvest materials from deep under the outposts which if harvested, would give them a big advantage against the races of civilized Homins.
I would however ask you not to install the Kami or Karavan drills when you have taken an outpost, or if you feel that you have to do this, to choose wisely in holding the balance true between the Kami and Karavan. I wish I could give you my own drills, but unfortunately that is beyond my current powers..
Moreover I want to give you a quick heads up: The Outposts are a source of enrichment for everyone. There will be power-hungry homins who would give anything to get the materials from the outposts in their own hands, so be careful.

mylord Daemion,
I am grateful for your invitation. However I was looking for a kami guild since my sympathies (bred by generations of fyros warriors before me) lie soecifically on that side.
However I want you to know that I do have a deep respect for the true neutral guilds like yours and for the hard path you have chosen. May Atys turn easily under your feet.
mylord Riveit,
I thank you for the information on Tryton.
Warm regards,
Spolloh

Actually, the Fyros veneration of the Kami is a relatively recent historical thing and the Fyros approach to faith is presented as being much more of a pragmatic thing in a similar way to the way that the Tryker are relative moderates. The more fanatical and devoted peoples are the Matis and the Zorai.
