Can't agree more. Some of us have 9-5 jobs (and longer with commuting) and only have time in the evenings. Please, please, please can we have downtime at a more "sensible" time?
Understand what youre saying but frankly we dont pay them enough to work at 3am in the morning!!mboeing wrote:What worries me most is that the shard had been online and just not open, and changed back to offline. There seems to be a bit of trouble. =(
I can only repeat myself: NEVER EVER do a server upgrade in the evening again. There are times like 3am when nobody plays. And you have a time window of 4-5 hours easy, more likely there won't be many people wanting to play till around noon.
Loads of admins that do 24/7 support work for a normal sallery. Its just a matter of shifts. If the developers themselves have to do these upgrades though, hmmm that would be a concept I don't understand.moobol wrote:Understand what youre saying but frankly we dont pay them enough to work at 3am in the morning!!
Could do with a post with some idea of whats happening though.
Nice to see patch notes, but why post them several hours before the patch ?shadowweb wrote: . Raw materials aren't accessible at all times in the Prime Roots as they were.
. Some Kitin patrols will make life slighly harder in the Prime Roots, so stay alert.
The damage by making those resources accessible easily in the first place was done already anyhow. So I don't see the major deal about 1-200 more resources floating around for a while. They will eventually be depleted as well and hopefully not be restockable soon or at all.ozric wrote:Nice to see patch notes, but why post them several hours before the patch ?
The lucky harvesters who were privy to the information above and who were able to play during the time between the patch notes being posted and the server coming down, ran straight to the roots and stockpiled as many mats as they possibly could !
(I realise that the patch notes were first posted on the German boards by an over-eager CSR, but someone must have authorised it.)
Yes i agree. My point was more about early release of patch notes, this was just an example of why it isnt a good idea.mboeing wrote:The damage by making those resources accessible easily in the first place was done already anyhow.
