I sure hope you're right about this, cause there are some real roblem running around right now.
Just for the record, I look forward to the change in declration prices. I just hope its a price that makes people think. Cause that will make any declaration one that has been considered and one that can be taken seriously.

Jeesus, I just noticed how eerliy simmilar your problems are to those here on Leanon. I can´t read, nor speak, french though and so I´m not sure if the same applies to Aniro. But it IS pretty strange how familiar some of the threads sound here... *shivers*
Why can´t people just relax and simply TALK about such things in a mature and normal manner???

Ryzom is a game. In games, especially mmorpgs, you have to put some work into getting better. Outposts give their owners an advantage. They also require their owners to defend it against other guilds. Ergo, outposts are just a normal thing... put enough work into it and you get an advantage.
Do you really think someone who only works himself up to 150 elemental should be able to nuke like someone lvl 250? No. The one who got to 250 put a lot of time and effort into it, and rightfully deserves to be the better nuker. Likewise with outpost, people who put their time and effort into it deserve to have them/have higher ones. Simple logic.
Rotating outposts is like saying: "okay, forest diggers and elementalists: this week, you guys get double xp in those skills. next week, desert diggers and healers get double". Giving an advantage to everyone evens out everyone again, which is not what outposts are about. They are about PvP outside of faction events or arenas, about gaining an edge over your peers, proving your worth as a guild.
With the rotating system, a 1 man guild could get a q250 OP for a while, while guilds like OmegaV, Infinity, Samsara, Melinoe and the like get stuck with a q50 one. The 1-man guild may be 1 good and nice person, but certainly not as powerfull as one of the bigger ones. The 1 man would be overjoyed cause of his luck, but the larger guilds would be pretty mad, because they have more members to support and only a low lvl OP to do it with. Not to mention jealousy and other feelings, all which will most certainly be voiced here on the forums.
What would you think is better: competitiveness and some bickering, or just the same old same old every single day with noone being out of the ordinary (averaged over time), and people not just bickering but outright fighting and leaving game over it?
I'd choose current OP's any day.
My 2 cents. I'll keep reading this topic, but this is all I have to say about it.
Greetings,

What did I not understand then? the original post was about making a rotation system for outposts. I just posted my view on that idea and outposts in general. Simple as that.

If you're so against it why are you still exploiting?

I think each guild depending on size shud have an OP and be far more willing to exchange crystals and mats, some guilds having 2-3 op is annoying for other guilds i bet, slighty unfair i feel especially when those make it so hard to exchange things, especially for those with no OP and nothing to exchange with them.
just my feelings, talking to many karas holding OPs they seem to be sharing alot more maybe the kami shud follow in their footsteps.
one more thing, i thought OP wud be far more expensive, i was expecting the hundreds of millions saved to mean something?? a system to buy exp crystals from OPs at hugly inflated rates would be nice, ive got ALOT of dappers to burn and nothing to buy with them

For me, what Nevrax said about next patch content clearly means this is considered as an exploit.
After months of waiting, devs releases outposts, which are great fun IMO.
Now what are some people doing when they own one ? Exploiting a gameplay mechanism to keep their outpost forever.
This lead to unattackable OPs and prevent other players to have fun with this feature !
So why were you waiting for Nevrax to release the OP for so long ?!?
People are moaning about the lack of content in Ryzom and you transform OP in nothing more than buying a drill, which is not big fun...
People are claming Ryzom community to be the best, but knowing that there is not enough OP for every guild you should figure that it isn't an honorable behaviour...
boinged wrote:So less than half an hours (solo) digging for a stack that we produce only every 2 hours? Can you see what would happen if we did that deal?
well you had a battle against marauders the first day, then used a trick to keep your OP instead of spending time to fight, negotiate or RP for keeping it. You have all the benefits without giving anything in return, that's not what I call production... you're more a shareholder lol
A guy who dig 4 h a day deserve much more crystals than a guy watching his drill producing crystals.
Sorry to say this but your OP gives you a
free daily production, you should think about it when you trade your crystals/mats.
I'm not surprise if people leave this game with this kind of behaviour. This community could be a lot better if people were not so greedy, so selfish...
