Because you have the same non-choice of whether or not to PvP.
But neither that situation or yours is a real choice, you're just forcing someone into a position where choosing to do one thing also forces them to play your way.

hehe, nice to see you too, P.
It's funny really, I've been enjoying it so far anyway. Didn't think I would.
I really am starting to worrie now though after this..

Was thinking just because what we've gotten so far was for PvPers later we'd get something for the Neutrals or.. part-time Neutrals.
While it seems I do enjoy the odd bit of PvP or roleplay the stuff we were hoping for is aparently not going to happen..

Not good, not good at all..........

My god, we actually agree on something! lol
I've avoided posting anymore on this subject since yesterday. I don't like how this event seems to be tearing the community apart. I've said my peace on my opinion of it. Anymore would just be repeating myself.
However, I just had to respond to this rare situation!
I'm glad (ish) that you're enjoying the event Jayce. Tonight I'm going to try some crafting, see if I can contribute that way.
If not I'll crawl back under my PvE rock and mumble curses against all things PvP.

I was in the same zone and I killed no-one. I spent 30 minutes there, couldn't dig so I healed. I gained no 'murder' points.
I want a reward for those of us that have NEVER taken the life of another player.
So helping someone to murder does your hands cleaner??? When the PvP toggle will be active (if ever) healing will activate it as well.
Your moral kills itself!

You gotta admit being in non PvP mode and healing PvPers would be totaly stupid. I do hope they make it so non-PvPers can only heal other non's.

So do it so they can only heal casualties of kitin in order to help prevent dp.

Normally a mature community but in this occassion i'd say baby threw all his/her toys from the cot.
Mandatory non-PvP content? Isn't this getting a bit silly now?

No, I think its a good, and balancing idea.
We have 'content' and rewards here only accessable though a single, exclusionary style of play - PvP.
For the sake of balance and fairness there should be actual, in game awards, only available through roleplay as well, or through long technical processes to reward the guys who like simulation.
Things with an actual effect.
