*wonders who she annoyed this time to get on that list..*

Luckily Kyerna will soon pass me! She is way to persuasive to not be on the top of the list. I heard she has much more promotors to sponsor her campaign.

*makes me wonder how and where she finds them*

As if somebody would want to follow a silly healer!

*runs of to Kami Hill to rez a new player*

OOC:
I like the idea, and I am honoured somebody mentioned my name. Although I am not completely sure it will work. (What if the general isnt around when he is needed?) And I think there should be a NA General too. Maybe Raku or Soma? Or a tryker from VeniVidiVici?

*gulp* I nominate Rak, Kilgore or Oshi. *laughs at memories of being a reluctant tank* I'm best at backseat driving!

(thanks for the honor of being considered, Sxar! :D )

Yes, as discussed earlier we need different generals to cover different shifts. So I propose electing a Tryker General of the Day (EU) and a Tryker General of the Night (NA). I'll throw throw darts at the pub to assign each nominee to day or night. Please let me know if I've missed my marks! :)

Candidates:

Tryker General of the Day (EU)

Sxarlet, Dalin, Psylo, Zee and Kyerna

Tryker General of the Night (NA)

Pero, Gywidion, Rakujitsu, Kilgoretrout and Oshido

**strokes chin, thinking too many candidates from one guild could dilute their voting**

I can certainly see why the denizens of Aedan Aqueous would look to me for comfort from a military threat. I can see how the average Tryker would be terrified by the prospect of an armed conflict if I were not around to protect them. It is no fluke that ‘Tales of Valor- Stories of your Hero- The Anthology of Pero” is read to every young Tryker at bedtime. Thinking about me always makes people feel better.

Getting back to the General thing…I really don’t see why I would need an Army to stop any threat. Every time I am in a group, everyone just stands behind me, jumps up and down and spins around. It is really more like a dance party, celebrating my awesomeness, then a hunt. Seriously, what kind of threat could possibly affect me?

There would also be so few people worthy of being in my Army. My unimaginable good looks and chiseled physique are just simply… to overwhelming. Most soldiers would be so enraptured by being so near me that they would simply not be able to function. It really wouldn’t be much of a problem if it were only 50 or 60% of my troops. However, if we use a realistic number, say 85%, some of my officers may start to panic when our troops are cut down like wheat because they are fixated on watching me.

A better alternative would be to put a big statue of me in the center of every town. Then when the populace starts to feel scared they can go get comfort from a tangible reminder of their greatest hero. That would be much more constructive then any standing army.

Your Humblest Hero

As I said those ears are easy to spot in battle.

Although as Pero said it CAN sometimes be difficult to be in his company ;)

OMG. Today i recognice by accident that i am nominated :D Someone should have told me ;)

While i am quite honored i have to say something about it.

First: I dont want to be a general. We have generals. But i am willing to be kind of "coordinator of first steps"

Second: I can not guarantee to be online everyday. Probably nobody can guarantee.

Suggets: Someone (if noone maybe me) sets up a webpage with a timetable. There people could enter their name and the time when they are able to be on duty. For me this means i can plan ahead a little and therefore i would be online for sure and would patrol lakelands.

We also could work out a small emergency plan and put it onto this webpage.

Sarge like in Quake3 intro :D . At least i smoke cigars from time to time ;)

If i have understood the thread there is needed someone who takes the first steps in his hand when an invasion occurs in lakeland. Like...

- verifying if any alarms are founded
- send messengers to all capitals to call all Trykers in exile and friends of Trykers to the arms
- Making a post on the forum
- Going to ress the first victims
- From there on nobody ingame is able to control anything :D

It would be nice if we form frontlines of melees, middlelines of mages and healers in the back. Also keep an eye on the flanks. But i dont think this would work ;)

Probably if DEVs would give us a serverwide wipe :D

Indeed! Or the sarge in the Starcraft cutscenes with the cigar under his visor.

And if Dev's would give us a serverwide invasion... That would be Froody!

Democracy in the Lakelands is no quick affair. Another gathering of the Tryker Assembly convened and Baxter began a long speech. Early in the speech, a large quantity of Stinga Rum was found, soon thereafter the crowd became very rowdy. The Assembly dissolved and went off to a huge beach party in the Dew Drops. I can't remember any of the speechs ... I DO remember dancing with Pipp, Rali and Tress ... but the Fairhaven Intendant woke me up this morning and told me that I had to inform all of the candidates for General that they were candidates. So that I'll do ...
