I believe it came out in a Q&A that there are several huge errors in the manual that came with the game. Contradictions in the Lore (Primitive tribes don't aggro unless you do attack them), missing features, features not as discribed (teleport pacts reduce DP) as well as others. Something about a third-party creating the manual, QA failing/non-existent and to reprint the manuals/repackage the game would have been cost-prohibited. I once begrudently said that they created a fancy box and then tried to build the game around it.

The non-functioning/invisible TP's are annoying but you can still get around.

It's still a pretty good game even without these features. The game is evolving. Who knows... maybe one day the Hawkers will have something worth buying.

I went to Best Buy, the big seller of games in store in my area ( San Francisco) Fryes, and Electronic Boutique none of them carry the game anymore.

I am not the only one grumbling, looks like the buyers for the big boys have grumbled in a much more significant way.

My grumbling here is just to stir the drink up a little bit, and maybe if enough vets start grumbling, there will actually be a game online a year from now, and it will be vastly improved.

In fact if the peddle is not stuck to the metal soon I fear that the competition in the game place might not be so complacent and will blow right by this game and come out with the next latest and greatest. You can bet that other game makers have reversed engineered the good things about this game with just enough minor changes to make it legal, and are including it in their next release. The bucks from the market place are just too great.

There is enough of grumbling for that end without intentional flooding of forums.
