"Hey again all,
Ok just a quick update on Gladiator for you all. The starter events were a huge success with a total number of 55 individual entrants into the various leagues over the four days. I would first like to thank all who came and made it a huge success, hopefully something to build on for the future of Gladiator.
We have had a number of challengers since and several fights have taken place over the last few days introducing another 4 competitors into some of the leagues (including our first two Gunslinger battles!).
The leagues have been built up and you can see them here, and these lists will be updated regularly.
I am also pleased to announce that World of Ryzom have decided to cover Gladiator, and I have arranged to give Sixxus the latest announcements and results by e-mail so they can keep their own lists up to date. If there are any other fan sites wishing to cover Gladiator, please feel free to contact me or send me an in game e-mail. You can find World of Ryzom at http://www.worldofryzom.jolt.co.uk/
Many people have approached me and asked when the next organised gathering for Gladiator will be. I have looked at my diary and I am going to schedule one for this Sunday the 12th June at Fairhaven stables. All races are welcome to join, and I hope to have fighters from all the different league races there to compete. This should be an ideal time for anyone to join the leagues if they want too. Remember I shall still be doing the racial leagues, so zorai v zorai and fyros v fyros etc for now, the world gladiator games will come later.
So I hope to see you there on Sunday (if you arent enjoying yourselves at the RL events that is ) and in the meantime remember you can challenge anyone on the leagues to a dual and call in a CSR to judge.

"Hello again everyone,
I would like to start by thanking everyone who turned up to the event in Fairhaven on Sunday night. I was expecting a few fights and a couple of hours at the most, instead we ended up with 52 fights and a four hour event! There were lots more requests for fights, but unfortunately we couldnt fit them all in, but it shows me the enthusiasm for Gladiator so I shall make sure it keeps going
Several people have asked when the next event will be. I have not organised anything, but I expect 2 weeks at the earliest and not necessarily a weekend night like last time. When I have something confirmed I shall make sure to post here.
The Gladiator leagues are really filling up now, remember you can challenge anyone on the leagues at any time for extra rank points, and call in a CSR judge as some of you already have.
There have been some zorai players who have commented that their league isnt very big and so they have fewer fights from it. I don't want the Zorai competitors to miss out on the fun on gladiator, so if things dont pick up in the next few weeks I may organise a vote for merging the Zorai and Fyros leagues perhaps. I look forward to your opinions on this.
Another point of concern is the dual dagger leagues. These fights can last a while to say the last, so I am considering changing a few rules dependant on what you all think, perhaps light armour only, disallowing auras for this league? I would like to hear your opinions on this also.
I would also like to schedule some sort of meeting soon, in klients perhaps with those interested who want to discuss the future of gladiator and how we can improve it. After all I am running this for you guys, so it's only fair you all have a say
Remember I shall update the results thread found here regularly, and also e-mail Sixxus at the World of Ryzom fan site the latest results. If any other fan sites wish to receive the latest results, please contact me for details.
Will post again when I have more up to date info on Gladiator for you all

Re: Gladiator!
That is a very good idea to speed it up a bit. Currently when one of the Gladiators uses MA/HA, this forces both players to be less effective.Tidings wrote: Another point of concern is the dual dagger leagues. The one using the armor is losing more HP from his actions than taking from opponent. The Gladiator in LA is much more efficient, but is pretty much forced to accept limited damage thru not using "ignore armor" or by replacing either "accurate attack" or "increased damage" with it in their stanza.

Re: Gladiator!
*pokes* Just wondering when this was gonna pick up again? Calabrien, you have any scheduled plans for another gathering? The Gladiator Tournament seems to have slowed down a tad. :/
Re: Gladiator!
Alegra, you have to challenge someone in the Zorai rounds to enter the tournament and whatnot. If I recall right, once ya challenge, you have to inform Calabrien to schedule date and time.
