Actually, it's not that few. Oo; Just got to know when to sneak and when to stand your ground. As for seed/amber/resin spots, I found one great place (well, wouldn't say found...more like taken there while I mass-prospected. lol). It's incredibly safe considering how bad the aggro can get in corridor at times. The ONLY problem is 2 named mobs that wander in there every once in awhile. >.>

I noticed that there isn't a neutral option too. I do care but I just think it's fine as is. If I was going to vote in any direction it'd probably be for more smiting or at least more inventive smiting. An area is too heavily harvested? Have the Kami Goon Squad wandering round the area, quashing sources instead of smiting. Or have them fear you out of the area! That'd be great, a few Kami running along behind you and you feared out of your mind and running madly away.
While I feel for you if you harvest in an area with low Kami tolerance, if you all stopped digging for a while, there wouldn't be a problem.

Please forgive me if I am too uninformed, I haven't even made it to Fyros lands yet, but perhaps this source of contention could serve as the basis for a new player organization. People are often clamoring for more player involvement and control in the power base of Atys. If the problem is that people are over utilizing this easy q250 source, could a group of players or guilds get together to assign who gets to dig there, when and how much? They would need some sort of policing powers and 24 hour verification techniques. If the source needs to rest for several days, let the FF Source Organization so decree and punish any poachers. Create some inventive poaching sanctions. Maybe an outpost will be built here?

ohh that's bad, very bad. usually this thing goes like this "i'm paying for this game too, so i have right to dig wherever and whenever i want to" and they are right.
that spot just needs a few roaming cuttlers (say 50 of them every hour for 10 min). hehe, it would be fun.
My guild made a courtesy request of us... mind you a request, not an edict... We were aked to please not dig in GoC until we could pull over q200 mats. This request was made shortly after the merger as it was quite apparent there are tolerance issues.
I am seeing diggers in GoC pulling mats q120 and lower. Now I know as said above, we all pay, we all have a right to be wherever we can get. I also think if more guilds offered this same guidance to their diggers the 250 areas would show a marked improvement. For clarification purposes I am not criticizing bringing along a mate to CP.
and umm.. devs... pretend you didn't <edit *see*> that cuttler thing
Now this is the most entertaining thread in weeks.
A poll with very flavored choices. I will not vote because I dont like any option, no real options to pick.
Replies ranging from muttering about Atys, to a land and finally it turns out it is ONE tiny sub-sub-region that the problem is at. A few square feet with highly wanted mats that is suffering under heavy digging.
Jessica making a mistake and telling she doesnt know how polls work.
Most of my ingame friends voting to be blown up.
A request for more aggro in a region... O.o
In the end, it seems to be complaining from people who dont want to change a habit, but rather complain about something outside their range. I have played City of Heroes a few days. Now *that* is a boring game that practically hands everything to you in just the right size, very little thinking involved.
What makes SoR great is the impact we all have on the world, the complexity of the mobs behavoire, the KT anywhere.
Why do most of the fanatics without a life keep playing this game? For the challange, for the sheer joy of another lvl in a hard to get tree, for the unraveling of the underlying rules, for the player base.
Didnt we want a living planet? Well, here it is. Harvest a stripmined area while it didnt have time to heal, you get punished faster. It all makes sense, it is the way this game works. About KT dropping faster, maybe I am the only one who noticed this, but I see a higher influx of players and much much more people sticking around long enough to gain higher lvls. So no server changes I think, just a wider player base.
So be flexible, be agile and be a hero. Conquer the lands! Go abroad, see the world. But never ever become an old man who says that "in the old days, all was better". You will only make a fool out of yourself.
If the developers are really interested in encouraging conflict over scarce resources, they should enable PvP in areas with chronic low KT.
If the KT averages below 15% for an Atys year, enable PvP in that area and have the Kami start handing out missions -- Kill 3 harvesters that are stripmining the resources in eastern Flaming Forest and I'll be truely grateful.
It's an easy way to make overharvested areas more dangerous without changing mob patterns, and it makes the PvP more fun when its in an PvE safe area.

Aya would be good but probbly no one would pvp there like PR unless its +1 fame for a kill -1 fame for a death heh and maybe rip off guild wars with the faver of the gods sup mats come up in the race that has the most fame but then game wouldnt be Ryzom heh
I can't seriously be the only one who noticed this...
If you harvest wearing light armor of the color and from the land you are digging in.... I.E. purple zorai light armor in zorai land.... blue tryker in tryker... make your LA match the color of the jewelery from your land...
Etc... and dig all gentle you actually ADD to the replenish rate of the KT bar...
Obv this doesn't work in roots... but the sources aren't really up long enough for that to matter....
I hope that helps clear things up.... happy digging to you all
