I tested the rites mission on ATS, another player was trying for it, and two people doing the mission/quest at the same time bugged the spawn.
The reward...I think...was a new melee defence, but I am sure that there will be various rewards that make sense with who gives out the mission/rite/quest.
I filled out a rather detailed bug report and so did the other player/tester. I don't think that these missions are ready for release, and I don't think that they will go live ANY time soon.
I didn't notice how big of a faction/fame hit you get finishing them, but I am sure that you get fame of some kind as well.
While I am a little disappointed in the speed of content release, I am content with it as long as HUGE bugged messes like Patch one don't happen again. I am also testing to HELP prevent another Patch One type OUCH.

I responce to the comment taht there are a lot of missions, Our guild has been making lists of the missions, who gives them, where they can be found, and how to go about completing them. We have found that within the walls of Pyr, there are between 200 and 250 missions alone. Outside and around, within Imperial Dunes, there are another 150 +/-...
This does not take into consideration the other regions within Fyros or even the other lands. With this new information that the missions and rites will not be hidden, a lot of this will go to waste but at least we will have a nice database to look at *smile*
I'm not complaining. In fact, it's going to make missions and rites a lot easier. I'm sorry they still look bugged. I'm looking forward to seeing them though...

From my experience it seems that doing missions within a team eliminates in a great percentage bubles that are not where they supposed to be and missions that should have finished but are still in "unfinished" status.
Rewards are on the way for doing missions such as rare skills and items, I feel some of them necessary to proceed to other tasks or even alter the behavior of an entire area. I will say no more, competition will be hard and i want to have an edge
edit: and there seems to be a "random" way of success for other players yet for others not...maybe its not random or broken too, at least at their entirety...future will show..

On ATS, the "rites" missions/quests are being testing. I tried twice at the WEE small hours to solo it (at the buffed level of 151 all melee, you would think I could), but the NPC didn't spawn, or when he did, he stood there and my mission journal never updated.
*shrug* they need to keep testing and working out the bugs, THIS feature is NOT ready for prime time.

What? I'm sorry but I have no idea what you just said...

That hasn't stopped them from implementing stuff in the past. I hope they take the time to get this right, and not just go ahead with it on the scheduled day for part 3 of patch 2.
