Most of the complaints aboves seem to be content issues.

Perhaps Nexrax should consider some sort of in-game NPC editting so that a new class of players (kind of like Guides) could help out making little sub-plots in an area.

I'm sure this system could parallel whatever they have planned for Guild created missions?

The other issue I noticed above were graphic content. New armor, weapons, etc. Problem with adding more 3d content is the fact the game would physically get larger, and it's tougher to supply the tools and teach the skills necessary.

That doesn't mean it shouldn't be accomplished, though. Back in the days of the MUD and MOOs, it wasn't uncommon for veteran players to help out writting text and back-story for new areas.

While developing this for a 3D MMO might be difficult, I do not doubt that there is a guild or two with a well motivated 3D artist, or writer, who would love to spend some free time helping to expand the game more.

So, perhaps it would be nice for Nexrax to develop a copy of GMax with file exports and a test viewer so that players can fool around making our own regions, armor, weapons, etc.? The process will be moderated, of course, by Nexrax and added it to the patch server for people to explore attached to whatever global events they find necessary.

I'd have Aeden Aqueous freeze over in the winter, allowing the mobs to move more freely. I think that'd be a cool way to have the seasons affect gameplay. It'd be one of those cool "wow factor" things too.

hmmm it's a tough question to answer.... How would I improve this game?

I would add a "poke" emote.

I think this is an excellent idea. But I would at least have a GM or moderator of some sort...maybe the same one that moderates the forums for each server...since it would differ from server to server.

I would suggest, as the slightest of modifications to your idea, an email address where our creative Role players from each server could submit a bit of history and supply the screenshots to support their more creative submissions.

I KNOW we have a community of creative and excellent authors/role players, so the submissions would have to have SOME kind of limit, like 100 per patch, or maybe 50 ish. Not sure what the gms or devs would say.

There was something like this in Earth and Beyond, a Net Sat 7 news or some such. But sadly it never took off, only one or two stories ever hit the servers, then...nothing else.

And thanks to everyone else, way to take a less than constructive first post and derail it in a possitive direction. *high fives*

Making Basic and Fine mats worth something would be nice. Choice + mats have few sources, 1-8 mats per source with a 30 minute recharge.

Right now, they could lower the amount of mats we can harvest to 3 max, cut the xp to level a lot, and eliminate craft grinding..though not harvest grinding.

If we wanted to eliminate a lot of the harvest grind, we could take up my first suggestion, but apply it to all mats. Less extreme, and with a lower xp to level. This means foragers would be forced to move around more from srouce to source (balance the xp gain time with it) and less crap grind eq would go to waste on the off chance someone 'accidently' clicks it.

I think this would mean a lot less harvesters though. I like harvesting and the harvesting crowd. I'm 112 harvest and in the 60's for the fighting levels. Harvester or not though, I think Basic and fine should mean something.

PvP may do this. But it sounds like it's up in the air. If it falls through, this should be something that is looked at.

yes, that would not only make ryzom perfect, but will end world hunger as well.

A "can i have your stuff " emote would be the next best thing tho :D

I whole-heartedly agree with this idea. They also need a '/rude' and a '/moo' emote.

I miss the /moo from shadowbane *sniff*.

PvP in completely seperate SERVERs. It wouldn't be hard to do AND there won't be anymore people upset about the whole PvP deal.

So one server PvE, with the current PvP setup.

And one server PvP, COMPLETELY OPEN PvP, except in Newbie Land and Cities.

I think that would accomidate everyone.

Yes X, that or an on button. with some kind of limits for how often you can turn it back on and off. (Turn it on, it is on for 24 REAL hours IN game. Turn it off, you got to wait a WEEK to turn it back on.) time limits would NOT count towards /duel or arena play.

And NO MATER what is decided on PVP...keep arenas.

I would NOT put the PVP in areas needed for leveling IE hunting grounds OR foraging grounds. The suggestion of adding a clone zone (cut and paste N zone, original zone remains NON pvp, new zone IS pvp).

There should be NO penalties for not PVPing, and the bonuses to PVP should not be imballancing (IE it should not be TEN times as easy to level PVP than non).

Well to an out of town crafter they are...as a Matis in Tryker-lands, I have to either keep travelling back to Yrkanis to get mats to craft ammo [though I can still use the packer crafting exploit, I still have to harvest enough initially] or make it here out of fine mats instead of choice ones. The ammo may not be as good, but the hunting is a LOT easier [run into water-lose aggro exploit].
