What do Nevrax think?

Come in, pull up a chair, let's discuss all things Ryzom-related.

You say 'when the road is rocky'. What flippin road. I am asking for a road, not the removal of the rocks. If I can see where its going I'll put up with the bumps but without telling Nevrax we are unhappy - no road.
You are advocating inactivity while we find out how Nevrax feel about the patch. Excuse me but either you are 'nuts' or salaried by Nevrax. I can afford to subscribe to one game only. If I can't make my feelings known (and get a response, which is what Nevrax are absolute crap at) then you think I should calmly put my feet up whilst awaiting Nevrax's pleasure?
Oh yeah, I agree with you. I can't find the words to express 'my agreement' or there would be a censored response.

I watched a classmate play WoW for a few minutes, that was enough to convince me how extremly overhyped it is. Especially the graphic is terrible. :(

Now, can you ask fairer than that? Less than 3 hours after I put up a post asking for info and boom, there it is! Ok, maybe lawrence was going to post that up at that time without me asking (they probably hadn't even read this!) but I can dream of grandeur, even if it is just an illusion.

I'm not employed by Nevrax, I'm just a player of games. I see no point in continual whinging. If the point has been made, it doesn't need to be reiterated again and again. That doesn't add impact, it just adds to the amount of time spent reading. So I am not trying to promote inaction but to act and then give time for the developers to react, rather than expecting instant reversals on issues that probably take time to sort through.

I understand people getting frustrated but I don't think shoving critisism down their throats is any better than when people feel they have been wronged by a game patch. Chill, people!

And on a more personal note, please don't feel like I'm ever having a personal go at anyone on these forums. I just sense a lot of stress in everyone at the moment and try to deal with it by being a) calm and b) occassionally witty. Love you all! :)

I for one will not post anymore, as it's not fair for the people who like the game.
I wish more people who are leaving would do it this way

alyssah wrote: Example: Blind 4 used to work reasonably well with most mid level mobs. Now blind 7 works once in 4 or 5 times. Since it is now unreliable, people don't use it or other similar tactics. If they are unused, how will you or I be able to level up in that skill? I've seen acid 9 resisted as consistently as blind or stun.
If they had been made less effective or the mobs stronger that would have been consistent & less of an bugbear.
I am not paying a subscription to be frustrated in play. I get enough in real life. I will allow them a reasonable time to declare their intentions but if it stays the same then I will move along. I enjoy the game & have participated since beta stage but if the beta had played like this I would not have paid £45 to get an early delivery through Alapage.
Nevrax take heed. All the talk in the Guild today was about the WoW beta and would we or not. About 80% have already downloaded it & playing quite contentedly.
I don't want to leave the game so please don't drive me away. Let us know what your intentions are before you find out ours the hard way.

Alyssah.
Dude, those spells all still work perfectl fine exacpt that now thay are not bugged. If you try use blind 7 or whateva you have on a mob higher then the effevtive level it says in info chances are u are gonna get resisted same with the off magic spells. jus cos before blind 1 worked on freakin anything pre patch everyone seems to complain now that they cant lv every 5min.

I dont understand why people have to let everyone know there quiting and off to play WOW or what ever . If you dont like the game then quit its that simple . If you like the game but not the adjustments that were made with the patch then post your objections and say how you think it should be . If you are happy with the changes i doubt you will be reading this anyway :) .

Ok dude, lets be practical. As a melee about 80 2h level, using a q90 pike what mobs are there in either Fyros or Matis that give xp solo? The best I get at the moment is high teens or low 20's. So I team against higher mobs because there is a dearth of level 60, 70, 80, or even 90 mobs. Against higher mobs I don't hit because, naturally, they are too high up the scale. I look to my fight trainer for help but I am only permitted 'accuracy' for a weapon q65 or lower & 'incr damage' for a weapon up to q70. I can use a q90 wep but not get the upgrade to hit with a q90 wep. Anyway, what self respecting warriors would want to team with the in betweens who can't contribute to the kill?
I don't have a gripe about blind. That was a bug that needed fixed. But as an offensive affliction mage, again about 80, how do I progress in that skill now it is almost totally ineffective. Where are the mobs that I can hit? What xp is available? Offensive affliction is mainly a team spell but what do we team against? I acid bombed 2 baying gouris & took them out in 3 casts with next to no xp. Ok but what is there for those at that in between stage. I would be more than happy to have your practical advice on how to overcome this & the melee quandry. I'll even thank you.
To score xp in teams, the only way is to heal. I am levelling hand over fist as a healer. But that does not help me with offensive or elemental levelling. To fill in the time, I started harvesting and I am now level 133 desert forager & level 67 forest forager. Neither healer or digger were Ryzom careers I had planned to follow. There is an inconsistency about career progression which has been highlighted by the drastic changes in patch 1. The devs recognise this and have made minor changes in an attempt to compensate. I advocate that it should have been gradual changes until they reached their objectives. There is now a group of moaning in betweenies of which I am one. I havn't levelled in 2h melee or off affliction since the patch. Slightly longer than 5 minutes. I didn't level every five minutes before the patch. But now I have after the patch, only in the wrong disciplines. Kinda confusing dude.
I mean it when I say I would appreciate constructive advice about getting back on track. Have you any for me?

If you check out the Omins forums, I'm planning on trying to get a "lower level" hunting group together (admittedly I was planning on less that 50/60) so I'm sure when that happens we might be able to help you find something to kill ;) It would probably be in group tho, I hope that doesn't matter *too* much.
