If you try use blind 7 or whateva you have on a mob higher then the effevtive level it says in info chances are u are gonna get resisted same with the off magic spells. jus cos before blind 1 worked on freakin anything pre patch everyone seems to complain now that they cant lv every 5min.
Ok dude, lets be practical. As a melee about 80 2h level, using a q90 pike what mobs are there in either Fyros or Matis that give xp solo? The best I get at the moment is high teens or low 20's. So I team against higher mobs because there is a dearth of level 60, 70, 80, or even 90 mobs. Against higher mobs I don't hit because, naturally, they are too high up the scale. I look to my fight trainer for help but I am only permitted 'accuracy' for a weapon q65 or lower & 'incr damage' for a weapon up to q70. I can use a q90 wep but not get the upgrade to hit with a q90 wep. Anyway, what self respecting warriors would want to team with the in betweens who can't contribute to the kill?
I don't have a gripe about blind. That was a bug that needed fixed. But as an offensive affliction mage, again about 80, how do I progress in that skill now it is almost totally ineffective. Where are the mobs that I can hit? What xp is available? Offensive affliction is mainly a team spell but what do we team against? I acid bombed 2 baying gouris & took them out in 3 casts with next to no xp. Ok but what is there for those at that in between stage. I would be more than happy to have your practical advice on how to overcome this & the melee quandry. I'll even thank you.
To score xp in teams, the only way is to heal. I am levelling hand over fist as a healer. But that does not help me with offensive or elemental levelling. To fill in the time, I started harvesting and I am now level 133 desert forager & level 67 forest forager. Neither healer or digger were Ryzom careers I had planned to follow. There is an inconsistency about career progression which has been highlighted by the drastic changes in patch 1. The devs recognise this and have made minor changes in an attempt to compensate. I advocate that it should have been gradual changes until they reached their objectives. There is now a group of moaning in betweenies of which I am one. I havn't levelled in 2h melee or off affliction since the patch. Slightly longer than 5 minutes. I didn't level every five minutes before the patch. But now I have after the patch, only in the wrong disciplines. Kinda confusing dude.
I mean it when I say I would appreciate constructive advice about getting back on track. Have you any for me?
