He said that he had cancelled and was not going to rejoin period. So what is the purpose of his post? No matter what is said, no matter what the devs do, he is not going to join again. So if there is nothing anyone can say or do that will change his mind, then there is no point to him posting his leaving and reading responces.moriant wrote:Oh I don't know.. maybe the same reason YOU are posting on the forums? Because you LIKE or LIKED the game and do not want to see it ruined (at least in your - the poster's) opinion. He has every right to post what he did just like you have every right post here. His opinion is not somehow less valid because he has suddenly cancelled his account.

I encourage you to report any posts of mine that you feel are inappropiate for deletion. I'm sure you will find out rather quickly that the responce you will get is not exactly what you want.billg1 wrote: Now quit harassing people or I will report you to the mods and ask them to delete your posts
Re: Too little. Too late
Yea, my problem is there was issues like magic amp tree now being useable that were known before patch was put in. Why would they add patch with a issue as major as that still unresolved? I cant seem to come up with any sort of answer on that 1. They knew the changes to harvesting were not goin to be accepted well because they were too harsh. Still they went through. High lvl exp for mobs is trashed from the little I seen. Me and friend barely duo a frahar near dyron and got 600exp. It resisted spells TONS more, yet I got totally crap exp.
So I was left with the feeling what am I to do in this game atm? I couldnt think of anything, and thats sad. I had no viable hunting options, harvesting is a joke, get piles from 99-160's trying to get ql170, Never did get a ql 170 actually. I could craft, Oh wait I would need mats that didnt suck for anyone to buy crafted items, and no one is hunting cause mobs are screwed up.
If these issues werent known before hand I wouldnt have reacted so badly to patch, but they did know about the issues and released it anyways, that to me is what they did that was unacceptible and why I canceled my account. I resent them trying to use me as a paying beta tester.

Actually he never said there was nothing anyone can say or do. You might want to go back and actually read what he posted.

Um, actually I wasn't saying any of that. You're confusing me with the original poster. I was simply making an observation that it seems rather cold that a senior forum member would dismiss a new player when that player mentions quitting, rather than encouraging them to stick with it.raynes wrote:Maybe you should think about why that is such a cold responce.
They put a patch out that had some issues. They heard the complaints and are pushing a new patch today to address those issues. You are saying it's too little to late, well what else would you have them do? Your post is unreasonable and you do not deserve this sympathetic responce about your cancelling. I do have to ask if you are so mad, you have cancelled, and you aren't planning on rejoining, then why are you posting here?
Please be aware of who you're flaming.

Poor Raynes is confused. He lives in some fantasy world and selectively chooses what to believe so long as it suits his purpose and needs whether its based in reality or on facts. he is also rather rude and sneaky at trying to start flame wars. Poor guy.
And watch out he is gonna call the mods to ban you for picking on him now.

Re: Too little. Too late
Cancelling his account is all good, his decision. Uninstalling it and saying that this new patch (which he may or may not have any idea what is being included, I'd guess the later) is too little, too late is also his choice and opinion. But in my opinion, a little overboard, and other people feel the same way I'd imagine. It shows he doesn't want to give it the chance. Even though to my knowledge, there has never been a game company to actually work towards any fix this quickly in response to players. Unless it was lag/server stability related (and even then some games have been slow to do even that).randoid2 wrote:Too little, too late.
The account stays canceled and will expire 11/9.
I've already uninstalled the client. I will need a lot more than this little patch to want to go to the effort to reinstall before 11/9.

Re: Too little. Too late
I'm sure punishr echoes the sentiments of a LOT of people, which obviously the devs at Nevrax had to pay attention to because they were losing customers. I don't think MMORPG players these days have the patience to deal with evasive answers, and I think in this particular situation, Nevrax took a serious misstep. IMO, they should've said something along the lines of "It's in test, feedback shows it needs more testing, that's why it's being delayed."
The fact that they are putting in changes ONE DAY after the big patch shows that they care and can respond quickly. I hope that they learn from this particular fiasco and don't repeat it. Nevrax, I implore you, don't release a patch until it's ready; I for one would prefer waiting for a good patch to receiving a patch on time that makes me want to quit the game, as so many have already elected to do.
I'm just hoping the game can recover from this... it will piss me off greatly to think I paid $50 for a game that I only got to play a month and a half.

That's ok...I'm pretty much heading out the door anyway. I'm going to play one last time tonight and see if there's any resemblance to the game I was raving about two weeks ago.billg1 wrote:And watch out he is gonna call the mods to ban you for picking on him now.
