the screenie with the praying tirancha or whatever had a piece of something that looked suspiciously like a Jet plane rotor. The spinning part on the engine. Granted with that ONE part...I would have to say...that is one BIG plane! (twice the size of a 747? maybe)

But I think this world is ALOT like an Anne McCaffrey book, where you realize FIVE or six books into the series...that this "fantasy" world is in reality a SCI Fi fantasy world. Complete with time line loops and "lost in space" sorta situations.

I would NOT be surprised to find...in a year or two...a ruin that is MADE OF METAL...a material NOT found on Atys, or shaped like a classic UFO and ruins near it with images of nearly Kami but more like "greys" of UFO fame. And crashed Karavan sites with maps of EARTH or something like that.

I know I am not the ONLY player to run endless loops of "are the Kami/karavan REALLY our friend?" and if they AREN"T our friends...then what?
I know I am NOT the only Fyros to be harvesting near a Kami totem in Noob land to hear ZAP ZAP *other various spell noises* and see a VERY dead (ten or 20 times over) agro mob smoldering not far from us, and then turn rather pale and decide that THAT node really isn't THAT special. And "I think I hear my Mother calling me, Bye yall" *zipping noise from Scooby doo*

With a planet that grows in size as we play (those arms of plant life over head, YES I have seen one where there with NEW leaves up there), and we KNOW there is area under neath us...you HAVE to ask. In two or three years (real time)...is the area I am in going to be UNDER ground?? And once the Kitins are routed (which do we really have a right to do more than defend ourselves...they were not a menace until WE stepped into THEIR world and killed THEM. So it IS our fault they got out.), then what will we find that is bigger, and WEIRDER than they are?

People scream about NO storyline...people we got to get out there and FIND it. Not like Neverwinter Nights where you open a book in a bookshelf and TA DA...full storyline. And I am GLAD it isn't like that.

Keep the ODD screenies coming...If you find a Grey or a ruin with Elvis' face...please post it.

If I had to guess ... I would suspect that equipment formerly belonged to the Fyros mining expeditions of yore. You may be near the location where the Kitin invasions began. The object that looks like an impeller / turbine fan may have been used to generate power at some point - perhaps through a hydroelectric approach.

Looks like it is a meteorite and not from Atys. I wonder how much more of this stuff is around and how homins might react to one plowing into the bark around them. There is strange stuff in "Wastelands" also and I might just go get some pictues for you all.

Well there ARE rocks...in Fyros territories the Mesas ARE rocks. But I do think that the parts on the surface are more tree like since the planet basically IS a giant growing tree.

Maybe that rotor IS a wind power source...and Maybe the Trykers technology that was lost to us due to *glowers at nearest Matis* slavery and what not could be rediscovered (part of the differences from server to server?? could be ).

I honestly think that there are "interesting tid bits" scattered about the land. I KNOW I haven't seen HALF the interesting stuff this game has to offer. I mean ONE Fyros that made it to Pyr and ONE Matis that hasn't shaken the new leaves off yet...Hard to explor HALF enough with just this.

Plus...if these devs are HALF as good as I suspect...they got precoded stuff up their collective sleeves, events planned to coinside with new areas "discovered" and new mobs (Ok who hasn't seen a mob and thought Ok...part bat...part parrot...nice genetic experiement that got out of control there. And Yubos remind me of those Tazmania Tigers that went extinct a few decades ago, but people SWEAR they keep seeing in the deepest darkest of New Zealand.) Not sure HOW they are going to TEST all this DEEP secret stuff, I suspect they and others on staff are alphaing this stuff, it may not even hit the test server. But the WOW effect would MORE than pay off even WITH bugs.

I will have to look up jet parts and see if I can FIND a picture of the part I think that round part is...And post a link to it. Interesting to conjecture and wonder. When was the last time YOU did THAT about another game???


OH and about the skellitons, there are quite a few of them near Pyr. Rib cages the size of at least a dinosaur or....Dragon?
