As someone who has playerd both AC1 and Horizons (I still dabble now and then) It's very easy for me to make distinctions. EQ, EQ2 and WoW are "just games' IMO and nothing that strikes my fancy. AC1 has been on my computer for almost 2 1/2 years now and it's about to be removed. Several reasons for this, but the biggest being that AC is a game whose time has come and gone. I've become dissatisfied with the mad damn rush to reach upper levels that seems to have infected the player base.
Horizons may have been a great game at one time but, as another poster indicated, it's been beat with the nerf stick a few times too often. At one point I couldnt wait to get home from work and launch Horizons. Now, the ridiculous "go to a trainer" to change classes, same old mobs with new skins etc etc, they've all got under my skin.
Ever since I load SoR and first launched it, I've found myself captivated by many, many things (see my Thanks Nevrax thread). Friday afternoon/evening for example, I teamed up with some guildies and other players and headed for Fleeting Gardens. I could NOT believe my eyes when I "came up for air" and saw that it was time for me to get ready for work

In my opinion, there's only one thing Nevrax could do to the game content that would possibly spell SoR's doom. That would be if the designers and coders kept introducing newer mobs which are actually "recycled" current mobs with new skins/abilities. To keep the game fresh, I would suggest (at irregular intervals AND without advance notice to the playerbase) the introduction of a completely new type of mob. Perhaps this would necessitate the removal of an existing creature. However, I think these changes only be temporary and then 'return' the removed mob. (Story devs, are you taking notes yet?

There's my comments and perhaps a suggestion or two. Take care all, and let's see what we shall see. Meanwhile, I'll keep working on my friends to leave HZ and come to SoR full time. (I've already got 2 90 per cent convinced and several more at least 50 per cent.
