There has already been 1 request posted on these forums from a Kara looking to get more mats from Arispotle, when the originating server is a 9-1 Kara vs Kami scenario. If you introduce the concept of factions trading with like factions between servers, it would be possible to make it 10 times more difficult for the opposing faction on either server to make any headway.
To think there aren't people who would take advantage of this sort of thing is to turn a blind eye to the nature of politics. In a game, in real life, politics usually involves someone with more power screwing over someone with less.
Now consider the introduction of a new server. A Guild wishing to establish itself on another server and be able to trade between the two would allow the power players here to transfer dappers, cats & flowers, and supreme mats/gear to their counterparts on the virgin server. Any new players who could have otherwise been able to participate in Outpost ownership, or even build a decent sized new Guild would be overshadowed with the unfairly equipped bleedover. The ability for veteran influenced Guilds to buy new players with gear and cats (something that happens too much on regular servers as it is) would be in force within days.
For the sense of realism, one plane of existance shouldn't be able to trade resources with another plane of existance. It would be a little weird for Arispotle Andarr to trade dappers with Cho Andarr, at least in the realm of realism. Additionally, the ability to trade equipment through R² would lessen the need for crafters on a virgin server, or if one server has a much higher number of a particular type of crafter, what's the point for anyone to level crafting in said branch on a server with less?
There are varying degrees of possibilities in a multitude of possibilities for why interserver trading should be stopped, on all levels, immediately.
These are, of course, just my perceptions on the subject.

If I can somehow acquire an Aen set or some sup mats.... there doesnt appear to be a shortage of max speed/damage items or 97% amps anywhere on Arispotelian Atys... I don't see how it could affect anything. Won't sway outpost battles?
Seems a bit crazy
