7 as whole english forum, didnt work ;-(
edit: (now that i downloaded rss reader ;-) , "&forumids=8,9,58" or so, seems to work too.
Brilliant, much thanks. I'll probably add them as individual feeds (for each forum), but cool to know it can be done as a single entry as well.

FYI: After using the RSS feeds for the forums for a few days, it appears the only thing that will pop up as a new item is when a new thread is created and not when a new post is made to an existing item. Not quite as useful as I'd hoped.

That seems to do it. I'll keep an eye on it for a while. Thanks.

How do you guys find these parameters anyway?

@Nevrax: Any possibility you could put these various rss feed links and some documentation for them somewhere so it's all nicely documented?

After playing with these feeds for a while, they aren't as useful in the context of my usual RSS reader as I would like. (the description text is always the first post and the page doesn't trigger updates to RSS Bandit correctly except when a new thread is started.) So, I wrote a little applet that uses them and opens a mini tabbed browser for any thread that's been updated. I've been using it now for 3 or 4 days without any major problems; I even coded around the "server busy" nonsense that started happening today.

The code is VB.NET (Visual Studio 2005) and you can access it here.

I'll answer questions about the code, but I'm not providing support for this in the sense of an actual final application. If it's useful to you as-is, cool. If not or if you don't have access to VB.NET to compile and work it with, just ignore this post.

Feel free to send questions to me via PM if you don't want to pollute the thread.

The code is freely available and I make no attempt to copyright it or hold it secret. Use it or ignore it in anyway you like.

Edit: Thanks to everyone that taught me how to forum the RSS URL correctly for what I wanted and for the reference to the vbulletin info.
