Granted both sides have their extremists, but I still don't believe they're the majority and I hope they never will be. You seem to want to be one of them and I hope you remain in the minority.
I think you hit on one of the problems with the setup. The Kami are set up to be the more 'fluffy' of the two opposing factions (literaly as well as figuratively) while the Karavan are portrayed as the conquering, expansionist side. This will tend to divide players on (somewhat) similar lines which I think contributes to the disparity between the factions.

OOC @Komissar

There should be room for new refugees to find a place and form guilds. Once you take a closer look at the factions Kami is currently the smaller side and it is a good thing for balance to chose to fight for the furballs. The QL50 outposts are there for the LVL50 players I think, a perfect target for a new guild.

Good luck with your effort, Cyrish, but as the others say - there is more to the politics than just two factions as you soon will find out!

Dear Ulani,

I totally agree with you that there should be always room for noobies and ther guilds (no matter on which side really), but Ryzom wth it's valuable intelligent community, it's philosophy if you like an somewhat suffer from the invasion of Wow-like players, comig from hack&slash PvP games who only look for new targets for their battle rage.

What I meant to say was the necessity to get the feel of this game a bit and not try to apply old standards to a new invironment... especially when you don't really care which side to decimate...

There is a saying in Russia: "It's no good yelling in a foreign land if you don't know the language" :)

Hehe I understand what you say Komissar. My first posts on the forum was definately "yelling in a foreign land" (no, don't look it up please :) ) but reading about the setting on the web site is different from living on Atys. 250 levels later and hundreds of rezzes from "enemies" things will probably no longer be black and white.

Or am I just optimistic when I think Ryzom isn't what a "WoW-PVP'er" are looking for?

Team Spirit is a fairly new formed guild that chose to take side with the Kami. I would be interested how things felt for them; to start a new lowlevel Kami guild around highlevel Karavanists alliances.

<-- Ulani is Karavan (or fake-Karavan to some people ;) )

If your Fame is karavan then it doesn't matter what anyone tells you, you're karavan.Just because you choose to fight for something you feel is right does not change anything.

*Glad that some kara help kami or it would be so unbalanced*

Now that's a nice one LOL :)

Fame or no fame, to be karavan you gotta stop killing karavan for a start :)

Though I must confess I have never faced Ulani across a battlefield. Therefore I personally have no reasons to call her FAKE Karavan. A Highly RP Karavan - yes, fake - no.

And Btw I'm not sure really what you mean by fake karavan :) Usually we have 2 kinds (PvPwise and not fameswise, scяew fame btw :D ) those are the:
- True karavan - those who believe in Jena and either fight side by side with their fellow karavaneer brothers or at least do not fight against them.
- Kamivan - those in lucky possession of karavan fame for tp reasons who hunt down and kill their supposedly "true karavan brothers and sisters" at op fights.

Farely easy is that not? :)

Fame Bah! :)

Got a new motto for karavaneers: FAME IS NOTHING - BROTHERHOOD IS EVERYTHING ! :D

LOL! since if you have taken part in any OP fight recently you have probably faught a Karavan member, does this make you a Kamivan?

:) It wasn't tagetted at you Komissar. And I only fought KA once, to "free Loria". Anyway, I love that all choices are in the hands of the players and not preset. It makes the game interesting.

well what an I say. No one better than an "honest mercenary" knows what it means to be karavan.

May I enquire whether you have been "honestly paid" to spread your word of "neutral wisdom" ?

Or are there no more kami meetings at the mountaintop that an "honest mercenary" could chair?

And obviously your oppinion matters more than those you dub "Kamivan"? Please bless us with more of your wisdom oh fount of Jena's pure and unsullied words!

Nah, it's just I've been called "Kami" so often I find mislabling anyone offensive ;)

We are allowed to have our own opinions you know, we just find it more worthwhile to get paid for things generally.

I wouldn't know. I've never been to a Kami-only meeting. Only one where neutrals were invited :)
