One interesting thought:
The Karavan seems to favour ranged combat (I would too with fancy guns like that. Gimmi!!! Whine whine, yes I'm jealous of Karavan guns). Karavan sentinels got guns and those stormtroopers got laser guns or something.
And the Kami seems to favour close combat. The Kami sentinels whack stuff bare fisted and this orange thing looks like it can beat something to pulp without problems.
So is the magic an only Homin profession? (mob spells not included) Or will this one use magic too?
And the second thought. The Kami are claimed to have taught Homins magic, but then view the 'ancestors', Cute use magic, Frahar and Gibbaï I'm not sure, but probably too. And Moo(whatever they are called, the Matis happy bunch) are all dead but i bet they could to.
Whoa, stopping now before I go further of topic.
Basic point, I think it's a Kami berserker. And like the Karavan trooper comming with the outpost patchhh.... Gimmi!!!

Some of the Kami Sentinels (like those found in Fyros lands) use magic (root, fear, ice, and a cool looking bird thing).
Also, Frahars do have magic abilities. They can cast fire, I believe. Dunno about gibbai. Never seen them do anything other than throw a punch.

the crittur reminds me of something which I thought was a Momo (matisian Primitive).. but i cannot find the picture anymore

I think this is a Kami aligned entity. Sentinel or Kami. In the trailer you can see them together with Matis Kami sentinels.
I hope the content of what is comming there shows me the reason for the Kami-Karavan conflict. Probably something about energies.
