There is another trick in there if you did not see it. Check the screenie again. in the system Info window it says
"You absorb raw material source damage for 18 points of damage" Now that is a trick 
Less CPing!
Also it is fair to say that those failures, and spoilngs are at different rates with different source modes.

Indeed it is. Personally I use it all the time, very good for the kami tolerance.

it's very good for agressive speed actions too, sometimes too good as u can b knocking off 80-90hp a tick..

- I try to get about 15-20q above my level. I can do this because the pr harvest tree is my second harvest tree, and I already have the gentle quality actions.
- I use the zoraï - absorb 20% of the source life in damage - thingy to keep my hp bar up a bit. Using low quality with a high rate & speed drops the hp bar like a rock, so this helps a bit.
- I pull just q10 above my level unitll I used 50%-75% of the source time, and then I switch to a higher quality.
- I was pulling supreme mats at that time
- I use the extra source time bonus from the Tryker rite
... and that gives me about the xp I get now.
Between lvl 50-70 pr harvest this gives about 3 levels for 450-500 mats (harvesting a full load), between 70 and 90 it drops to 2 levels for each pull, 90-110 its about 1.75 and so on.
