zebidie wrote:All good points, I'm hoping that in most cases there was good reason. But in some of the occasions I pointed out there was no mis information involved I'm afraid. These players knew exactly where we were, one occasion we got 1 heal on each of us to increase the timer then they just waited and watched us die.
Another time we were told "tough luck".

Theres no 2 ways about it, some folks are just being nasty. I've been playing SoR since closed beta and had never ever seen this; thats why I brought it up.
Wow, I have too and have also never seen this. Not since I first logged on in the retail version in Sept of last year, and never before that in open beta. Looks like bad luck to me.

Hope it gets better for you soon.

well, i noticed the change in attitude too - yesterday i TP to GoC to rez a friend (and failed doing it), just to realize there were at least 10 ppl all around walking on top of him?!?

I mean - where's the problem here?
someone think of it as a show of power or something?
comon - this is only childish behaviour...

btw, seems like big guilds getin more hostile with each day passing...

I'm usually a harvester. Not high level, but I like to come back in town with 3 meks full of mats. I craft usually 80% from them and the rest I place on market with 300% margin. Not much of roleplay here, just grind. Because of that, I harvest in really safe places, where the probability of aparition of aggro mobs is practically 0.

That was since yesterday some peeps from the other server (winter_whatever) started to pull aggros on me. Is really hard to defend yourself in focus armor. Even the amps took time to wear.
After 4 deaths (and about 500k dp) I've quit harvesting and started to watch the radar. Well, the result was the "pulling team" has died because they got attacked of their own mobs. The bottom line? I was flamed in region chat because (quote) "our DP is your fault".
I now come and ask: how the heck is your DP my fault? I should've stay there the 5-th time and get myself killed to save your selfish a**es?
You were roleplaying, guys?
Let's roleplay then: if I have I would accept DP to save/resurect my team mates or guild mates. But not for the ones like you. You are not even my race, you are zorai.
Roleplay off: You are not even from this server. You are from winter_whatever server. Nice customs you had there guys.

I have yet to see this behavior displayed either in OB or since I've been playing retail version of game. It must be a fairly isolated events, but at the same time as Zebidie pointed given the current "unspoken" curteousies in game of coming to the aid and rezzing those in need, it is a shame that some peeps are doing this.

Some people or guild(s) may be doing this as an RP though so I don't think it is a bad attitude or immature attitude thing. As Tobaran also pointed out, I have had people get upset at me when i've tried to rez them, but they don't give times or directions so by the time you have an idea where to go their respawn counter has ran out. I've seen it happen that the few peeps in a region are afk or just not paying attention to region or around chat. I've had that happen to me, on the dearly departed Windermeer server mind you, got kinchered at TB in KoD, saw a couple of blue dots within 250m, shouted could I get a rez xMeters from xLocal, and no one came. I respawned, ran back to TB and found them to both be afk. One thing that would be nice about the /afk feature would be if in region when u did a /who to check if there is anyone to rez you and/or come to your aid, that an afk handle was attached to that person's name or the color of the dot on the radar was changed.

Sorry that has happened to you Zebidie.

First off, sorry to hear what happened to you. That does make it harder for digging.

But I would also like to thank you for showing no maturity. Way to generalize people from windermeer as bad people. That really helps a lot I am sure.

i've run across it too, tho sometimes it's ppl that are afk, i usually sit in an out of the way yet safe spot and forget the /afk thing

i always try and rez ppl, as long as there's no danger to me, if you standing in the middle of aggro and i can't take it out, then sorry you're outta luck

tho i have noticed it happen, the other night i was out digging in tb. there was 2 groups killing gibbai, both in no real danger of both being wiped, anyways one of the groups would get wiped from time to time. group #2 would NOT rez group #1 and ended up yelling at them for "taking their mobs"

i ended up running over and saving group #1 on several occasions

tho i will say i've tried to rez ppl and recieved no answer when i ask "where are you?" typically when i go for a rez i ask "where are you and your time?" so i know if i can make it to them or not and if they're too far away i'll say "sorry too far away", to use kod as an example, if i'm at the pr spawn or close to hs and you're at tb, i can't make it to you if you have a couple mins left

the dragging aggro to harvesters could also be the fact that they're trying to run the aggro too the camp and you happen to be on the way to the camp, well the aggro will move from the person running to the person digging

sorry about your luck tho, if i'm around i'll try to rez

First of all, our server name is Windermeer.

Second, we didn't choose to come here, so there is no way that we should treat you like this place belongs to you.

Third, I've experienced as much griefing from the European community as I have from the US community.

And finally, we are not all like this. Every community has their "bad apples". Saying that people from Arispotle are better than the people from "winter_whatever" is rediculous. You're saying that they're immature, but to say this is rather immature and near-sighted.

And no, I'm not defending the people that ran mobs on you, I'm defending the community of winter_whatever.

Could they be roleplayers?
I suppose have nothing with RP.
Every community has their "bad apples".
Agree.
Just now this is more noticeable, cuz more "bad apples" in same place.
Change of attitude, anyone else noticed?
Also noticed attitude (mostly in low lvl regions), ppl dont ask for rezz, ppl demand rezz..
* wondering... why i never (or almost never) saw any 250ish asking for rezz *
People have walked right past us, told us "tough luck" or even thown a single heal on us (not enough to res us) then walked away
...
I've also seen something else new, high level folks dragging large mobs into safe zones with harvesters
...
nuked the mob and rezed the team, rather than saying "thank you" they started moaning at him.
Strange and awful behaviour...
