Game crashes while casting spell

I'm new so I'm not really sure why, but my game keeps crashing after i cast the acid spell a few times in a row. The character will start to cast and then everything will freeze and of course i come back dead. This totally sux. help me if you know anything about this, please.

Are you using an ATI card? If so, which?

Are you running in OpenGL or D3D?

I know you're probably sick of this question already, but, are all your video drivers up to date? Is your Direct X nice and shiny and freshly installed? Even if Direct X is freshly installed, have you tried to do it again, just in case?

Is this happening within a few minutes of logging in? Or can you play for quite awhile without using your magic and then it happens when you do use it?

I have no answer for you about this problem, but maybe the information you give can help try to solve the problem, as it sounds like it could fall into the same catergory as the problem I'm having.
