Anyone explain the Sleep Spell?

Post by moboid »

Hope this is the right place for this.

ok, i'am guessing that i cast sleep on a mob if it sticks its a link spell which is broken if the monster looses hp sap etc

however if thats the case why does it list focus loss on the spell description?
Does it mean if i loose focus?

Also any opinions on usefullness would be appreciated, not sure i like the idea of having the link break with the mob next to me; i'd rather fear it and deal with it when it comes back.

erm i think he meant ignore his post as an answer had been posted.

Good guide that shame i never found it when i had just started.

On a side note the ingame descriptions are terrible i bought ricochet yet i can't use it on fear spells. Unless i've missed something there was no details on it being limited to certain spell groups :/

I assume this applys also to spray and blast

I miss my AoE sleep from AO :) AoE fear would have been usefull

Aye, although fear doesnt fear in pvp it just "stuns".

Edit: in that i mean fear doesnt work properly in pvp.

also we do have a limited option for resisting now which should get better over time (once fully implemented)

if its ok for the vorax to do it whats wrong with us being able to do it? :(

when you take a vorax they cast a mass fear over the healers and anything else within range of it which is a pain and can cause a suprised party to die in seconds but if we are suprised the best def we have against a large group of mobs is a bomb spell and with 2x lvl 2 fire using bomb effect 5 i can hit 6 mobs for 200 damage each not really much hope for me there being able to defend against anyhing over 1 mob unless they all have 200 hp lol :P

fear bomb could push back a wave of mobs if it was able to be used with bomb and spray effect very usefull imho
