Can we see other peoples fame ratings?

Does seem a bit odd that someone can achive high lvls of fame for a population or cause yet we the people never hear of them.

Maybe the towns people know who's who

Does Kami/karavan Champion mean that player has 100 kami/Karavan fame or just that they were in the right place at the right time (event wise)?

Right place, Right time, rather Right event to get the title.
Some got it, some didn't, those that got the title were the ones that made it to the npc that gave it to them, those that didn't get it were the ones that stuck around in the event until they were lagged offline or otherwise was cut short of getting to the npc.

First of all let me say that I submitted this as a suggestion in game, was contacted by a GM, and they agreed that it was a good idea and sent it up. It is now up to the devs if it gets implemented or not.

As for actually displaying the information, I see no reason why it shouldn't be. In fact the only reason why one would be afraid to let people see their fame ratings is because they want their cake and eat it to. In otherwords they want to run around doing tasks for the side they are against without any negative backlash. Otherwise you wounldn't care in the least bit.

Something needs to happen in this game to start to spice things up. This is one way of doing it. If you don't like it, then I suggest you keep your Kami and Karavan fame at about the same level.

You should be proud of your fame levels, and if your not, then you need to re-examine why you got those levels in the first place.

In the case of at least one person who's posted here, he took a huge hit in Kami fame due to a bug. I'd like to see the bugs fixed, and characters' fame levels repaired if damaged due to bugs. I'd like to see fame actually impact the prices you pay for goods and teleporter tickets. Once they get all that fixed, yeah, I agree, it would be nice to be able to see other player's fame levels.

However, the community we have at the moment is very small and close-knit, and very little a player or his guild does will remain secret for long. The guild title will most likely be the best and most widely used indicator of what to expect from an individual player and how to approach him.

I don't think we need to see every little fame standing they have, that really wouldn't be all that useful. I mean show the persons top three fame levels. Possibly when you click info about the person it could list if they follow the karavan or Kami, what race they are favored the most by, and the top tribe that likes them.

actually, you should see only the fame they have with your factions/groups, these would be:
1. the fame they have with the faction where you have the highest fame(kami/karavan) [perhaps both if your fame-levels there only differ by 10]
2. the fame with your race
3. the fame with the race where you have the highest fame
that should be enough to gauge their alignment in regards to you, and also restricts the display to famelevels you actually would have access to

SOME fames are not beliefs, but the big two, that seem to me to be at the center of almost ALL other fames, ARE clearly...IN GAME...faith systems or belief systems.

Maybe philosophies would be a better way of putting the Karavan. But the Kami followers are CLEARLY a religious sect/order.

fame is something that shows how the society views you, not what you believe, as such i think it's quite valid to have an indicator for that

It's been clearly stated all along that your fame levels are how the world views you. While you can believe in the Kami's or Karavan, your fame level is not how much you believe in them. It's how they view you.

But unless you believe in what that partlicular faction stands for you would not be so eager to raise thier opinion of you so in fact it is a pretty accurate reflection of a player's belief.
