If I have a character in Yrkanis w/ a Packer...
Then create a second character, and bring him to Yrkanis, will I be able to access my first characters packers inventory?

Re: Question About 2 or More Characters
Yeah, probably would give too much of an advantage.

Advantage? You must be sarcastic there.niron wrote:Yeah, probably would give too much of an advantage.
Packers are owned by the characters, not by the accounts. Simply a database design thing when they decided that once you enter Atys, you are logging into the character, not the account.
If you need to transfer items, simply put them up for sale and have your other character buy them, balance the dappers by selling something back for the same price. Of course, you run the risk that somebody else might buy the stuff, but it isn't likely considering the short time involved and the unreasonable prices you set.
Re: Question About 2 or More Characters
Storage characters have generally been no-no's since MUDs, the predecessors to MMORPGs.
Re: Question About 2 or More Characters
See, I don't really agree with that statement. I think "MMORPGs" are evolved MUDs renamed "MMORPGs" by some marketing twit.aelvana wrote:MUDs, the predecessors to MMORPGs.

Re: Question About 2 or More Characters
I hate to go off on tangents and change a thread, but MMORPG is definately a graphical mud. It's also a umm...crappy mud I guess I could say. The commands for objects are near non existant. Puzzles, quizzes etc. are also missing. Arctic didn't have the typical system. It has a lot of all original code. Ryzom is the closest thing in a game featuring graphic content (potentially once pvp is here anyways). UO2 is coming out though. Same crappy graphics with a twist. But it's the playability that kept me on Arctic Diku mud since Ryzom. I seriously only played other games 3 months max. I still play on Arctic and have an Imm there. Have played there for oh...8 years off and on.
Re: Question About 2 or More Characters
You mean devolved right? Lets take out all the cool character interaction and ability for players to generate a cool story and replace it with spiffy graphics and endless grind...jdiegel wrote:See, I don't really agree with that statement.
