During higher lvls...

Post by andr0s »

I was wondering...what exactly do you do at higher lvls in this game? Currently my character is still in the noob island, so I haven't seen much of the game. Are you always just killing, crafting, and foreging, or is there more? I know that there isn't much in the way of quests, but are there other things that you do? Thanks for the info...

That’s about it at present. Besides exploring and basic missions… but exploring is really boring in Lakelands at least due to the repetitive uninteresting terrain and just varying levels of the same critter all over.

Hold out until after January, then you can PK your friends who are trying to level their PR forage :)

I for one like the waterfalls and interesting islands. No two islands are the same making an interesting battle everytime. There is variation in Mobs as you leave the inner lakelands and venture out into the surrounding areas. What i also like is that some of these same critters are in other lands, just taking on different attributes or colors, Its as if they have adapted to that specific area.
Boring is not a word i would use to describe the terrain in this game.

I’ve swam to all 4 corners of Lakeland and even traveled beyond some portals.

I’ll admit things are more interesting creature-wise when you go further out, but until you go past a portal, it’s hard to find anything but crabs, kipee, and the occasional herbivore. There are a few exceptions, but those seem rare.

Land-wise, yes there are waterfalls, but they aren’t that interesting – pretty boring, in fact.

The islands seem VERY repetitive to me! Yes, they provide interesting battle grounds, but that’s only if you’re interested in fighting. To me, they are just various shaped blobs of sand with a patch or two of grass and palm trees.

Getting to other lands is a huge huge quest to undertake, which I'm amazed hasn't been mentioned. Also being able to partake in more GM / storyline events (which have been once or twice a week lately), with access to more lands, and being able to partake and make a difference in the ones needing higher levels (most).

PKing is on the way, and major quests / guild quests too, for which levels will also help.

Well a GM wouldn't tel me more when I reported my Kami fame broken. I suspsect once your fame is high enough in task levels they give you 'rite's. There are different and higher level rites as you progress from different territories. There are several named and boss mobs (kya like kincherkya at end of name). Events add content, and guild / player based content to see who dominates what and who's the first to figure out the questions we all have about the backstory.

Right now we philosophize about things. The game seems to be more along the lines of exploration, and if you aren't deep into the questing, you can still influence things through PvP. Unlike most games that give you a little backround and a story to follow from level 1, we are given a larger backstory with several mysteries. Essentially we 'create' the story. It's original and I've had to learn patience myself. I can't say I've heard of a game that puts out as many improvements as fast as Nevrax does though. So I figure they're working hard. That alone is enough to pique my curiosity.
