First, is it working?
I understand that Passive is Green, and Aggressive is Red.
Shouldn't a Gingo, or a Ragus con Red for aggression?
I have ONLY seen a Green square.
Second, is eveything in the game level 1-20?
No matter what I target the Force square is either Green(1-20) or Black(0).
Am I nuts?
Don't get me wrong, I am tired of being spoon fed a mob's difficulty, I am enjoying the uncertainty, but I got beat down with 300HP in 2 seconds by a Psykopia that conned Passive/level1-20. I am sure they are passive until provoked. I was level 24 fight, level 16 magic, and odd low levels in craft, and harvest.
Is there a combined or average "level" that I am missing?
Question about the targeting system
Re: Question about the targeting system
There's currently a bug preventing the correct colors from being shown in the target box - it's already been fixed for the next patch. Expect to see it sometime next week, assuming the patch passes QAfratt37 wrote:First, is it working?

Re: Question about the targeting system
Each "region" of Atys is designed for players of specific levels typically... the MINIMUM area on main land is level 1-50. Use the in-game help system to learn how to "con" a mob easier.

Re: Question about the targeting system
I personally still think the color structure is too loose. If you are level 20-25, better think twice about something conning blue because you would probably be taking on more than you can handle. With a 30 lvl span for a color, you can't make an informed choice.
One thing I am having trouble with is running. Can't seem to outrun any mob. So when we are over our heads, you might as well not bother. Or, so it seems. I played all weekend and read the manual but haven't come up with a good solution.

I can't remember the name of it right now, but there's a skill in the Fighter tree you can pick up that gives you the ability to temporarily increase your speed.
As for the mob level issue I've seen around here alot, I would think that your really not going to care much if something is lvl 100 or 120 when your a level 110 Fighterer/110 Magician. Actually, I would hope that you would be looking for something in the 120 - 140 range.
Re: Question about the targeting system
I'm not positive on the name, but there is a skill something like Power Speed that gives the standard burst run. Even if you do get moving faster than the mob who is currently pantsing you, who's to say that mobs ever give up in the chase? It might be useful early on so you can make it to a guard though.
Re: Question about the targeting system
at level 1 the skill doesnt seem to be good for anything other than a short distance. the kipee still caught up with me and finished me before i could get to safety.
you can outrun the yubo though ! i made a mistake of hitting a scrimpy (?) yubo and he hit me for 100+ dmg! he chase me in a big circle, b/c i was lost, until i finally made it to the gate for the guards to take him.

It's speed-up power stanza.
And mobs will give up the chase eventually, the thing just is that no speed-up power will last that long (you'd need to be considerably faster). But yeah, if you can outrun a mob it most definitely will give up.
