couple of noob questions

Post by osfloyd »

Just wondering if anyone can give me some answers.

1- Is there any housing and if so can you store items in them?

2- Can you invite someone to a team/guild without being next to them?

3- Is there a way to search for someone for example /sea or /who?

4- What is cristilizing and how do you do it?

5- Heard about clues to finding harvesting points, is there such a thing?

Think thats all i was wondering about I appreciate any help anyone can give. Had the game for 3 days now and still in newbie land but having a ball. So addicted already hehehe. Made my hubby and 2 friends go out and get it too lol. Thanks a bunch.

Yes, base apartment cost is 10M dapper; however, you can't currently store items there (unless that's been fixed since beta). If it's not fixed a future patch (I would guess either the first or second at the very latest) will fix it, you can be sure of that.

No, you have to have visual contact so you can make that player your current target.

Yes, /who shows who is in the same region as you. The continents are dividided into up to eight regions, the refugee islands are each their own regions and some buildings are their own regions as well (Island trainers for example).

/who gm shows the online game masters and is a global function.

There are two types of crystals, sap and spells. Judging by the spelling, you're looking at spells but I'll cover both.

To crystalize sap, you must learn the Create Sap Crystal spell in the magic tree. Sap crystals are made from sap and dapper (equal amounts of both). Once the spell is in your hands tool bar, just click it to activate. Sap crystals are used to charge enchanted weapons (the weapons sap load property shows how much charge the weapon currently has).

Spell crystals are created by right clicking the desired spell in your hands bar and selecting the crystalize option. This will create a spell crystal, take it to store it in your bag. Spell crystals are used to enchant weapons.

For more details, see page 50 of your manual.

Also, make sure that you are aware of the sap crystal bug: http://ryzom.com/forum/showthread.php?p=7971#post7971

Look for areas that are unique, an odd rock outcrop, ground that looks distinct from its surroundings, also look for areas with high predator concentrations. If you use the tracking skill some of the hunt and miss of finding sources can be removed.
