Clearly a bug, since bodocs don't aggro (it was fighting another mob). I BARELY bought the replacement ticket in time, and would have lost access to central abyss.

That would be my guess also. There's a dead bodoc in the screenshot, so perhaps it was in combat vs a carnivore when you teleported in. You fell victim to the Area attack of the bodoc, not a direct attack on your character.

There is one instance where I had some bodocs kill me so I could teleport to a different roots spawn and when I popped at the spawn the bodocs were there and took me down again. Double DP .
