Given its taken max DP probably 3-4 times running around the PR trying to get various spawns and Karavan/Kami TPs, calling most of us who have spent time harvesting in the PR as a 'free ride' is just inaccurate. Yes, there was a day pre-patch 1 where everyone and their brother could get to PR, especially from certain lands. Patrols were non-existent, guards didn't hang around the entrances, and we had people leveling at 3k per pull up to 200 ad nauseum.aelvana wrote:If the PR hadn't been a free ride in the first place, this would all make sense...(v)iew the PR as something exceedingly difficult, where you can't just go in and harvest what you please.
Patch 1 changed that. And for the better, since there were certainly balance issues involved. PR became very hard, and very deadly. But, if you worked hard enough, you could find a good spot or two...if you were willing to die several times for it. Fairly balanced.
If there was still a balance issue pre-2.7, it certainly wasn't raised anywhere in the forums. Yet, we have a number of people satisfied (or gloating) that another balance issue has been fixed. What issue? I simply see harvesters and crafters getting the shaft...again.
And quite frankly, I wouldn't even be worried about harvesting in PR and Lake and Desert if it weren't for the fact that I gain 2-2.5 levels of harvest exp (and 2-3x the hours invested) for every 1 or so levels of craft exp. This FORCES solo crafters to either harvest in foreign lands or dramatically outlevel their craft skills and risk uber-DP. I'm not doing that, since as I said, I like playing a balanced character. (And incidentally, I still have a couple of safe harvest areas in PR, and I didn't partake of the area pre-patch 1 with this character. So there.)
And we won't even get into the stealth aspect of this. Again, more players quit because of stealth nerfs than anything else. Shame on the devs for showing, once again, that communication comes last.
So in essence, your continued ranting only discourages new players and harvesters. It makes you more valuable but hurts the game. So please stop yapping about all the negatives...
Shame on you both for trying to censor people who actually try to provide legitimate feedback on the game. This my definition of fanboism at its worst - not someone who loves the game, but someone who tries to cheer so loudly to cover up the glaring problems and drown others out.Unless you don't want to enjoy the game -- if that's the case, continue to wallow in the past.
As has been said before in a different context, "Mr/Ms. (Fanboi) I'm paying for this (game.)" It is our RIGHT to be heard when something shifts gameplay balance, especially when it was done in this manner. If you don't like it, go back to your 'good news' and 'i love the devs!!!!' threads...and stop claiming for a minute you care about other players game experiences. Its great you're having fun. I'd just like to see more people having that same experience, and not fixing what needs to be fixed and reversing what was wrongly fixed doesn't go towards that goal.
