Error loading window?

I'm recieving an error message saying "Can't create window display (1024X768 32 bits). Does anyone know how to fix this. (OH and btw, my screen res. is 1024X768.)

Hi there,

It's just a guess, but that sounds like a graphics driver or OpenGL / Direct3D problem. Do you have any problems running other games?

This may be worth a try:

1. Run the Ryzom config tool : ryzom_configuration_rd.exe
2. Click the 'Display' item in the list
3. In the box labeled 'Driver', switch between OpenGL and Direct3D - if auto is currently selected, try both of them

If the game has a problem with switching resolution, you shouldn't need to worry about any advanced options at this point.

Also, are you running up-to-date drivers for your hardware? Unless you have a reason for running older graphics drivers (as I, and many other people do), make sure yours are up-to-date. If you *do* have a reason for running older graphics drivers, don't go meddling with them just yet
