Patch 27

Post by lawrence »

We plan to implement patch #27 sometime this week. The patch is currently scheduled to take place on Wednesday, December 8th, 2004.

One of the changes includes a one-time-use command, which allows you to summon your mektoub packer to your current location. Patch #26 changed the way inventories are handled. Since then, packer inventories are accessible only from the location where your mektoub is stabled in. This caused some problems for certain players, whose mektoubs were located far away from their own position. Therefore we will implement a command, which you can use (only once per mektoub) to summon your pet to your current spot.

More information about this week's patch will follow shortly.

Small update:

The Server downtime will be longer than usual, because we will apply a row of hardware and software updates to the Servers, prior to implementing the patch. The estimated downtime is: 10:00 - 18:00 CET (09:00 - 17:00 GMT/UK Time).

There's been some confusion about increased creature spawn difficulty in some areas in regards to Patch #27.

There's been a problem with the fauna layout that has been fixed. There are in fact less creatures overall now (as stated in the patch notes), just in some specific areas we had to adjust the spawn rates in order to fix an exploit.

Note: You will NOT get attacked close to respawn areas, UNLESS you attack the creatures.
