The painful patch wait...

So I'm trying to kill time while this swallows the intial patch, and wanted to introduce myself to the forums.

Hi everyone. From what I've seen so far the forums in SoR are a lot more constructive and friendlier than other MMORPGs that I've played in the past and felt the community deserved a tip of the hat in recognition. See you in-game.

Coming from EQ I have to say that the people there are is as helpfull as this one - what makes the difference is that the whole community seems to be more mature than that of the average online game.

I dont talk about age, its just that in my impression that SoR has a very challenging character development system and so rather attracts people coming from hard-core rpgs or strategy games who are ready to take their time and enjoy the exploration instead of going for a diablo-like monster mash

Amongst the in-game *community* also seems to be an unspoken agreement not to beg for $ or stuff which is a huge relief for me and I hope it will stay this way

Now you have to understand this is my first MMO, but people actually begged for $ in others? Seems kinda silly to me.

not RL dollars of course but gold, platinum, credits whatever the game currency was to take a shortcut from earning their toon some cash themselves.

Quiet the opposite... There's always a couple of ppl who give away (low level) items for free. Usually nobody wants to take it though
