Matis noble Elethar
Matis noble Elethar
Noted Matis noble Elethar, holder of tournaments and wielder of big, fancy guns stopped by Borea to instruct the young Matis. While noting their seeming attraction towards the seller of raw materials, Elethar held court for a while, answering the young homins and teaching them more of the world they live in.

Re: Matis noble Elethar
The eager young Matis, Amcyr, heard about Elethar's visit but, due to unfortunate circumstances, was unable to attend. How he had yearned to hear the wise words, to learn the wisdom of the famed adventurer. How disappointed he was to have missed it.
Re: Matis noble Elethar
Crestfallen, young Amcyr left Yrkanis with his team to go hunting.
Earlier he had been ecstatic. He was going to meet the famous Elethar for the first time! Unable to travel to Borea before, Amcyr did not want to miss it when he heard that Elethar was coming to Yrkanis. He joined the anxious crowd that had gathered in the capital. Everyone was in a good mood, anticipating the hero's arrival. And indeed when Elethar arrived, he looked impressive in his bright armor and massive weapons. But the words Elethar spoke soon led to dismay. They were the same words he'd heard from all the older generation of Matis. Be prepared. Watch out for the Fyros. Amcyr wondered why they were always so bitter, spreading rumors of impending doom and untrustworthy of the neighboring races. He was glad to have fallen in with a group of his peers that believed co-operation with the other races was a surer means to progress and to defeat the dangers that Atys presented. Amcyr had thought that Elethar would be different, braver, imaginative, someone whose banner he could follow. Instead, Elethar had uttered the same tired warnings he had heard over and over before. The crowd as well became restless, asking the hero for details and reasons, arguing among themselves, wondering what to do next. But, as suddenly as he had come, Elethar left, leaving the young Matis listeners with more questions than answers.
Disappointed, Amcyr realized it was up to his generation to change the course of history for the better.

I went and saw Elethar hold court in Borea. I found his comments most ammusing. Who knew that Noble Elethar was so humorous.
