Karavan forces, riled by their earlier defeat at the hands of the Kami, answered the call of the Karavan recruiters and slashed through the hordes of kitin waiting for them in the Nexus. Although an infiltrator made it through the barrier--prompting the Commander to remind everyone to pay close attention to goings-on on the battlefield--Karavan forces were nevertheless rewarded for their devotion to duty. Kami forces fought bravely, but could not hold off the kitin hordes or beat the boss lurking in the Nexus.

The Karavan forces seemed too numerous to count, swarming towards the kitin hordes like the kitins themselves. Many dead homins were avenged on this great day and the kitins retreated back to the roots, surely dealt a stinging blow by this defeat.

heh, i stand corrected. guess it was KINDA a competition.

Much congratulations to all the newly titled Karavan Champions!

I only logged on to see the last 5-10 minutes of things on the Kami side, and sadly they were already broken without trying. Those who bragged of superior leadership and organisational skills in other similar events of late... are strangely silent now.

(Btw, I was a Kami champion before you were a Karavan champion. neener neener neener :p )

Organization ? who needs that when you can swarm the kitins ?
That was what everyone had in mind, zerg the kitins. It worked to a degree, but then everyone noticed that organized zerging would be even more effective(starcraft anyone?). When we did get organized, kitins started popping every where every few seconds.

I mean if the "gods" would have had the decency to at least spawn the mobs somwhere other than smack in the middle of the group (happened twice, bubbye healers, total wipe) we might have stood a chance.

In other words, we were swamped in kitins, literally.

Anywho, nice job you shiny metal ass kissers (some roleplay racism :D )
Am i supposed to write something witty here ?

We were broken yes, but we did try. We had tried several times.. different routes, different leaders and it didnt work out.. at least twice we got into spawns and heavy patrols that locked us down.. wasnt enough time to get everyone up before we had 10 new kinchers smack in the middle of the group. By the time you got there we knew Karavan was close to finishing, our group was split in two and we were trying to figure out who was going to lead since our previous leaders were still out.. Leadership was a problem yes, but so were people not listening.. there was more than 1 person that ventured out alone or went the wrong way and pulled groups of agros onto the main group.
Despite the confusion and failures it was still fun. Hopefully we learn from our mistakes next time around ;D.

*wonders aloud just how much faster and more efficently the saving of OUR planet would have gone without the US versus THEM mentality*

I guess the world may never know.

When you share an enemy...it makes more sense to forge a tense truce for the sake of SURVIVAL than it does to be against people that could very well be the heal that saves your life...so that you can heal another person that gives the killing blow to the LAST named Kitin in the event that WINS the day for US...Hominkind!

oh good greif :)

ive never met such a somber, tight a**ed group of gamers

lighten up (this is a game)

the event was staged as kami vs karavan. those who dont like the fact that there were 2 sides, and only one winner, well, sorry, but thats how it was.

we won, i bragged. simple lol

oh and please, no long winded diatribes about the evils or the immaturity of bragging.

kthxbye :)

I couldn't agree more. It was a competition, our side won.
Just like the games of Kamiball we have in Yrkanis every Sunday afternoon...tossing the ol' furball around...it is good clean fun, and competiton only makes both sides stronger.

we had kitin spawning in the middle of our groups as well. as for leadership, everyone wants to praise gfunk but honestly he did NOT lead anything sides a bunch of lambs to the slaughter like he did at the last event.

my only problem with the last event was that there was no spawn near the event, 5 mins of swimming is not very helpful and can be detrimental to strategy. this time around the karavan seemed to have the advantage, boss was closer to us

tho i will say i missed Zzei and her leadership. maybe next time she will grace us with her precence.

Not that I need to fan any flames here, nor is it my intent to. However, it does occure to me that the highly efficient leaders of the first competition event seemed stimied in the this one. The Karavan allies who are now bragging about victory (of which I am one) were in no fewer numbers the first time.

It is unreasonable to assume the Kami allies got less powerful or less inteligent, though they may have just had a bad day. It is also unreasonable to assume the Karavan allies somehow became so much more powerful in a few short days, but they surely did gain experience since the last event.

Given this, we should consider the possibility that these events are staged. Perhaps there was no reasonable way the Karavan could have won the first time, nor the Kami the second. I am not saying this is the only option, just pointing out it is a possibility.

Either way, I have enjoyed all 3 events, I look forward to the next and hope everyone can enjoy them as well, win or lose.
