On a pretty sizable polling, 1/3rd attrition isn't that ideal of a business proposition.josephm wrote:As to your poll on that thread, despite PvP it seems a majority of people are going to stay. A lot of those that don't care probalbly don't spend much time there. As to the ones who are complaining about it...
How often do you see someone say ' I can't stand a lack of content, bugs blah blah blah' and see 5 people chirp up 'good riddance, have fun, goodbye go away'?
I think these people have a valid point and I support them. As for PvP, I'm sorry to see them go honeslty. I wish everyone wanted PvP as much as I did, but oh well. At least here It comes down to a difference of opinion. When you're paying it's just as valid.
I honestly haven't heard much complaint about lack of content in combination with people leaving lately. *shrug* The event teams been busy of late

Personally, I'll be around til they make entire regions (ex-all prime roots, whether its the q150 regions, q200, or q250) or continents (The witherings/ burning desert/verdant heights/aeden aequeous) open to pvp all the time. To me it goes against everything I thought Ryzom would be. I will not have regretted my time here, but it will no longer be the kind of game I want to play.
Interesting find while browsing the Ryzom site looking for anything pvp related(still haven't found much advertising pvp style of play).
Here's your Courtesy Policies (pay attention to the first 2 lines and lines 3-4): http://www.ryzom.com/index.php?page=legal_courtoisy
and Code of Conduct (first non-caps line):

Now those lines i metioned, if they are in fact enforced, would make for some interesting situations. Is getting pk'ed when you do not wish to participate in any form of pvp considered harrasment? Is it considered disruption of your gaming experience? Is not being able to pvp someone, since it would be disrupting their gaming experience, disruptiong your gaming experience? Oi vey! Either way, courtesy and some peoples pvp styles just do not go hand in hand.
