problems patching

I am trying to use the buddy program. I sent my cd to my sisters and she is trying to install it. When downloading the patch it gets to 42/84 files, then gives a runtime error.
she is 7 hours away so I Cant actually be there.anyone know what the problem is? or Is there any way I can dl the patch and send it to her?

I don't have her specs here. She works a crazy swingshift so I sent her a mail about the tech support and you can handle it from there.
