Hi,
I play a fyros character who's been trying, with zero success, to get to Zorai. Of all the active members of my guild, I am the only one who hasn't made it. I have travelled to Matis, and even gotten some xp foraging in Fleeting Gardens *hehehe* but beyond that seems, quite frankly, hopeless.
Last night, members of my guild formed a group with the sole purpose of getting me through Undersprings to the Zorai portal spawn. The plan was to have someone at the Karavan altar ready to rezz anyone who died near there, and someone further south to rezz anyone who made it that far, and finally, someone at the Zorai portal to rezz anyone who made it THAT far. Needless to say, after dying enough to maxing out my DP, the farthest I got was to near the second healer was. Only, guess what? She died trying to get to me.
On another occassion, I was with a task force going from Matis to Tryker, led by Gfunk, and we never got far beyond the Karavan altar in the Fleeting Gardens. That particular area seems designed and laid out as a maze, through which characters are FORCED near aggressive creatures, where any attempt at stealth automatically fails. Much like Undersprings, where you can't go 50m without running into something that thinks you taste like chicken and prefers chicken to ANYTHING else.
During the recent event, some of my guildmates managed to get to Zorai and help defeat the enemy forces, but unfortunately, I was unable to participate in that event. So, no free trip for me (I think you had to buy tickets, anyway ;p) I am FORCED to brave what seem insurmountable obstacles if I want to travel between lands, especially the one land that shares the faction with my own. Comments from others state that Undersprings is the MOST DIFFICULT of the Prime Roots areas to navigate, which seems EXTREMELY unfair to us in Fyros and in Zorai. I just want to know WHY!
(Yes, I am EXTREMELY frustrated, after earning maximum DP and accomplishing diddly squat, and I truly hope someone can help me out, either with an explanation, or guidance on how to navigate through there, something. I like this game very much, but I don't look forward to PvP, and aside from the leveling grind, travelling to see strange new places is the ONLY thing to do of any real interest.)

From Fyros to Zorai... how the HELL do I get there?
Re: From Fyros to Zorai... how the HELL do I get there?
well the trip thru US is HARD and that's being nice and actually it's best done with a TON of dapper and by yourself
here's the way i took
from fyros stick to the wall on the right, not to the left always to the right. make the wall your friend and be careful of aggro
once you hit the tele the way is more luck than anything
round the corner, and then break from the wall, stick a horseshoe up your @$$ and try and run through the patrols. this part is good if you have some guild members to run interferrence and basically take one for the team, but also make sure that EVERYONE has speed AND invulnrability
gl on your venture tho

My luck seems to be the worst when I'm solo; I can't always see the aggro before it sees me, and before I know it, I'm kitin food once again. Getting past the teleporter seems to be the big stumbling block, as there was basically a WALL of aggro that I could never find a hole in. And after a bit of testing, I don't think speed and invulnerability work together, invulnerability cancels out speed every time I try to use them both.thexdane wrote:well the trip thru US is HARD and that's being nice and actually it's best done with a TON of dapper and by yourself

Basically, the place where you have to leave the wall is as far as I've gotten

Re: From Fyros to Zorai... how the HELL do I get there?
I'll take a pic of the map and reply with explanations of what to watch for where, next time I'm in game. I got it from the midpoint using about 5 tickets, with a little foreknowledge from playing on the zorai side, which I'll pass on to you :)
Re: From Fyros to Zorai... how the HELL do I get there?
i spent 500k dapper on that run and yes that's the biggest spot, put your radar on 50m or 125m, tho 50m i think will show you any aggro zone. the patrols have a 64m aggro range or soichigono wrote:My luck seems to be the worst when I'm solo; I can't always see the aggro before it sees me, and before I know it, I'm kitin food once again. it's not an easy run but it can be done with some persistance. once you get past that one spot it's not that hard really just keep an eye out for the patrols

OK! First, add this line to your client.cfg:
CameraDistMax = 50.0000000000;
Then, in game, zoom out as FAR as you can while you can still see your character. When you've hit the ideal zoom, tilt your view down so that the horizon is almost at the top of the screen. Here's a pic:

Also, turn your gamma way way up for PR travel! The tilt will give you a much wider view of the area in front of you. When you're stopped, turn frequently to make sure you have a good handle on what's to the side and behind you. This can prove much better than radar.
Here's the map for reference for this post:

1) The first heavy area to deal with is when you have to leave the wall and travel through THICK patrols. Make Shooting Meadow Border Post your first stop. This is where you'll blow a few tickets. The actual aggro range for patrols isn't near as bad as people say -- it's only once in a while they'll aggro from over 50m. If you see two patrols, and need to cut between them, make a practice of trying to keep yourself EXACTLY inbetween them.
2) Once you get a bit south of the outpost, you'll see an NPC tribe on your radar. You want to cut through the plants south of the outpost, go around this tribe, and hit the wall just south of them. Once you get past the heavy patrols, you'll have to carefully avoid some normal mobs. Once you make it to the wall, it's completely aggro free up till the end.
3) You want run speed, invincible, and melee aura. Once you walk the last chunk of the trip along the wall, you want to hit both run and melee aura and count about 12 seconds as you run through the guards (I actually looked at a clock to make sure I was counting seconds right in my head, and got as close to the 15 secs as I could). You'll be able to hit your invincible while melee aura is still on for a little extra distance (DO NOT use invincible first). You don't actually have to go through the portal, just come moderately close.

Aelvana, what season did you do this in, and does that make a difference? My biggest problem at this point is getting away from the damn wall...

I talked to ichi in game, but in case anyone else is trying to use my instructions, they start from the halfway karavan. I don't think I mentioned that. Getting TO the Karavan isn't near as tricky as the second half.
