Just signed on and had to download a new patch and after the patch was applied and ryzom client restarted when I get to the accept agreement screen and click accept it gives me the error "shard is closed". I rebooted system and checked my connection, eveything is fine. I looked at the server status for north america and it says it is up and running. What do I need to do to fix this problem.

I'm having the exact same problem... It's been inaccessible for three hours now. Though, earlier it said that server is unavailable, now it says shard is closed. I heard a rumor about it being down for two hours, why don't the status windows on the web or in the client reflect the real status?

looks like they ran into problems with the patch, i get shard closed also, same thing on the test server, shard closed

Some sort of post at least acknowledging that servers are down would be a nice consideration for the devs to make...

i got in Klient during lunch and it does appear they are aware of the situation, from the klient discussion area, it seems that it is some sort of server side issue between the latest client patch and the server receiving the login requests to some degree
to my knowledge they are working rapidly to get the situation resolved, in the mean time, eat cheese

So again "Error :selected shard is not available" and again everything 'says' it's online, and again no word from the staff. I just wanted to play this game today and all day it's either been down or I've been plauged with client crashes... how about backing out a defunct patch, or at least communicating to the public?
