Frustration and Disappointment
Re: Frustration and Disappointment
Amtist is right, fame will not change simply by hitting something. If that was once the case, it is no more. You can not be in a camp hit a NPC and have your fame drop. I know because I have been in the Icon Worshippers camp, acidentally hit one and my fame was not effected.
Re: Frustration and Disappointment
Fame whoopy do who cares.Fame is just what the dev's think is content which is just something to do when you get bored with the other stuff.Like you said your self all you get is a title and and alot of fame points. It is not like you get a uber weapon or fancy armor which is what any reward should be.If i can't use it it doesn't effect my stats who cares it is just B.S. fluff.Sure chapter 2 when pvp is some what put into action fame may count alittle more but probly not enough to worry about.Fame is a crumb on the plate that most don't see for the big juicey steak on the plate so put some A1 on it and enjoy the best part lol.

I went to Matis and cleared out several groups of Green Seed a few days ago. My Tryker dropped about 40, Matis similarly, and I gained probably 25-30 Kami fame (and lost similar Karavan).
All you need to do is kill members of a tribe that follow the Karavan for you to gain Kami fame quickly. All that fame was in just a couple hours, including several deaths on my part and running back to their camp.
Just, it also drops fame for whatever race the tribe has: CONSIDERABLY. Green Seed is Matis/Tryker and I lost nearly a months worth of missions work for them. Be careful who you kill.

wow that is really strange i just killed some green seed and they didnt give me kami fame.....weird...
Re: Frustration and Disappointment
Yeah I though that was totally messed up but if you accidentally hit an iconworkshipper pull out an uber weapon like level 100+ and hit them and see wha happens, nothing! I think this is probably a bug but for now it is a safe way out. Also watch, your fame is not affected unless it actually says in sysinfo "you have lost or gained mumu fame"gralen wrote: regardless I suspect you are very wrong on the point that you have to gain xp to lose fame.

When I reach +150 in Witherings then I can test it.neiana wrote:I went to Matis and cleared out several groups of Green Seed a few days ago. My Tryker dropped about 40, Matis similarly, and I gained probably 25-30 Kami fame (and lost similar Karavan).

From the patch 2 notes:
"Through all your travels to date you will have met some of the various tribes that inhabit our world. These tribes still have a lot to teach you about Atys so you may wish to track them down and talk to them some more. Gaining the trust of these tribes and performing tasks will gain you access to a Rite of passage. Fulfill this rite for a specific reward."
Do tasks... gain fame... get access to rites (missions and story content), get rewards. Just don't complain when someone with a high fame level gets a really nice weapon and you don't.

Kill more? I don't think just a few is going to help. 7-10 homins per group and I cleared 10-15 groups in my playtime. That translates to upwards of 150 kills. I am at the level where they just barely give me xp and I can clear two groups per self-heal recycle. I don't know how many you killed, but I did this last Saturday.

Can't you find another tribe to test with? How about the Goo Heads? Or do they give you nothing? Take a group out and kill some Black Circle maybe? I dunno... Got to be an easier way than waiting 'til a certain level.

and i dont know what you guys are smoking, but maybe only a couple specific green seed that i havent found give me kami fame, cause all killing them does for me is make me lose tryker, matis, and greenseed fame
