Oh boy, I'm glad to find this thread. I've been telling anyone and everyone about the qual 21-40 gap. I had a GM, Shadowthorn, check it out about 5 days ago after I submitted a ticket....it was apparently the first he'd heard of it. After he looked into it, he couldn't find qual 21-40 items or mats either, and told me he thought it was probably a bug. I agree, this affects newer players and should be fixed ASAP. As it stands now, it makes the vendor system even more confusing for them, and less useful.

It sure explains why all the mats I foraged and sold at level 30 and 40, and all quartered items in the same range, never sold. It is also a shame for newer players and crafters that they cannot buy level, for example, 29 items at the merchants. These items simply don't display.

BTW, I also mentioned this to Plangent 2 days ago...not only had he never heard of this problem, but he said no one else had reported it. There must really be a relatively low player base if such obvious bugs are not being reported. I would love to see some acknowledgement that this is a bug and it's been recognized, and a fix is in the works.

*bump*

A reply from a GM or similar official personage would be really appreciated here. Is the fact that ranges of quality levels don't show up on vendors (ie 21-40, 51-79, etc) a bug, or is that somehow how the system is supposed to work? If it is a bug, is a fix being worked on?

Thanks.

I haven't heard of this as a bug. But I will put it in my report and see if I can get an answer for you.

Can't ask for anymore than that. Thanks much, Cerest.

I hope they can track this down. I can't sell any of my Q70 items on the vendors.

I've also noticed that sometimes there doesn't seem to be anything on sale, except for the tool merchant who has his standard tool for sale. Anyone else notice this?

Yeah, I put some q60 and q70 pikes up for sale as well, then couldn't find a vendor inside of yrkanis which had them (I believe only Districts 1 and 4 have vendors). I also know some people from my guild had problems finding q130 jewelry, a GM came and took a look at it, don't know how it ended though. If this is a big, I do hope it gets fixed soon (I needs the money my pikes bring in :P )

A bug? I can't believe I didn't think of that! Since I only play about an hour a day, generally solo, I spent a long time in the 30's range. I could never find lvl 30 gear. I had assumed nobody was crafting any. Thanks for bringing this to Cerest's attention!
