Critical issue

Post by gralen »

What happens when a guild's leader character is deleted (due to player actions or canceled account purges)? Does the guild get disbanded? Does the role of leader automatically pass to one of the high officers? Does the position of leader become permanently vacant?

Personally, I feel it irresponsible for a guild leader to abandon their guild without passing on leadership but apparently others do not feel this is so; of course, it is possible that this was a guild of one.

Because players often put a lot of effort into their guild membership, it would be good to know what happens in a situation like the one referenced by the above URL.

Simple, you track your leader down through various contacts outside of the game then get one of his friends to convince the former leader to give them their password so that said friend can sign in on their account and transfer leadership over to you.

It's on page 55 of the manual.

Which does no good if the character that was used to create the guild was intentionally DELETED as noted in my original question.

Oi, it's so hard to "read between the lines" here, of course if I had looked at the manual I would have noticed it only has 52 numbered pages. ;)

If the account gets deleted, or the leader quits the guild, the leadership passes to the High Officer.

Cheers,

You have first hand knowledge of this? And which High Officer when there are more than one in the Guild?
