<NotExist:TheSagaOfRyzom> Whaaattt???

Post by koutetsu »

Ok, here's the deal. I downloaded and installed the 14-day free trial, and signed up for an account on the website. Then I went into the client and downloaded the patch. After I downloaded the patch, I click the button to relaunch Ryzom. However, Ryzom didn't relauch automatically, so I had to relaunch it manually. Then, when Ryzom came up, rather than saying "The Saga of Ryzom" in the blue title bar above the game, it said, <NotExist:TheSagaOfRyzom>.

Not only this, but when I try to start the game, it goes to the Nevrax screen with all the cool space effects, and then the screen goes black. I thought it might have something to do with the fact that my video drivers were out of date, since the game was telling me they were every time I started it. Thus, I updated my video drivers. No effect. Does ANYONE have any idea what the deal is with this game? I spent a while downloading it, and I'd like to actually be able to play it. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks.

I have no idea what would cause this, the only thing that comes to mind is maybe a missing or corrupt file. Have you tried uninstalling, deleting the files and reinstalling?
