The fix should do one or both of the following:

1. Give a direction along with distance
2. Update the distance much more often so accurate tracking is possible
Actually the distance updates every 4 seconds because everything in the game is based on 4 second pulses (That's how often information is exchanged (Or 'updated') between you and the server). That's also why you see damage over time spells do 4x their damage every 4 seconds instead of every second.

I think the slow tracking is all right though, it's not likely that you'd be able to track something much faster in real life. You would have to stop now and then to check the ground for traces etc. perhaps every 4 seconds. :)

A direction would be nice though.

Good luck with getting the direction concept implemented.

Warning: extreme sarcasm ahead, turn back if you're a really sensitive pansie

While we're at it let's ask for an 'instant kill' skill because sometimes we just don't feel like fighting a monster. Why not go further and get a 'craft all armor pieces' skill because who really wants to go through and EARN each armor crafting skill?

If you read this and got angry because you thought "I attacked your logic" or somehow inferred this as an insult then shame on you.

If you read this and laughed, congrats because you can take a joke!

Named mobs in an area normally means there are some really good mats about. Working mainly in Matis I found a good harvest site near the following named mobs: Ora, Hisserto, Wyac and Bodokin. A guild mate also confirmed his favourite root foraging place had a named Kincher patrolling the area.

I also think there is deffinitely something in the micro vegitation theory as I have noticed various event taking place near good foraging sites. Its just a pity most people have to play with the graphics dumbed down to make the game playable.

How about visual clues to non-crafting spawns?

In Matis I have noticed long furrows of broken ground amongst grassland and hills, brownish like dark stone or mud in colour. I have often found Kitin cocoons, preservatives and leaf's in these particular areas.

Ok maybe Im a little dense. Someone tried to show me the starfish, and jelly fish in the Tryker Island for harvesting. Huh?? maybe my graphics is not as good as some of the other players.

Is there any possibility the a picture of these clues could be potsted?? So those of us who just dont see what you are describing??

It would be very helpful. And in advance if you can poct pics. thank you.

On older video cards that are HARD pressed to even load the game, or if you had to turn the graphics to anything under "normal" settings, it is very possible that the microvegitation is not enabled no matter what the settings say.

My daughter and I both have accounts and she was asking about the clues, I ran to one and sat down in the middle of it. She ran to me and I went to her system and looked, I was sitting in the middle of nothing but flat desert. I ran around with her character to see if ANY of the areas I knew had "alot" of them were visable on her system and NONE were.

In case it is just your settings, try this. Check your graphics detail settings and make sure that they are at least at "normal" or Medium, at any rate the default setting. Then check to ensure that your micro vegitation is ON and set at any where from 10% in Fyros lands to 80% in Tryker lands. It also helps to turn the player lighting OFF by hitting the L, as a Tryker with my lighting on, the jellyfish is transparent, with the lighting OFF and at night, the jellyfish is golden and almost glowing.

If your vid card is UNDER or near the minimum spec for the game, I would suggest an upgrade as soon as you can. The clues make the difference of sanity or blindly casing prospect into the void.

I have played my Matis and found that in winter, first off it snows there, and in Zorai lands, unlike Tryker and Fyros, so the clues DO change color.

During the spring and summer the Matis clue is ALMOST invisable unless you KNOW what you are looking for and are at a marked location.

Matis clue goes from Green to green to redish brown to blueish silverish. And having micro vegitiation SLIGHTLY higher helps. WIth this clue it helps to find someone that KNOWS what they look like and will stand ON one so you can adjust the levels to where you can see it. At 10% they are not as noticable as at 40% and at 60% you are choking on clutter.
